July 17th, MF ride night..anyone going?

Another ride night is coming upon us, this time with MF. Anyone going? I'll be there the 2nd half of the day pending school.

Nope... not at this point in the season... Not worth the time off work :)

Tempting. I have the 18th off from work now. I probably will pass as I need to pack on the 18th for South Dakota...

Once again, I'll be there in my dreams...

I'll be there all day i switched my day off this week from wednesday to thursday.

I will not be there. If the finish of the week is anything like the start, I need the rest.

I'm not going for 2 reasons.
1- Don't want to take off work or even leave after work since it's pointless and a waste of gas.

2- Dragster's ERT really put a bad taste in my mouth with this years ERT. Compared to the Joe Cool ert's last year, this years went far south. So with the large crowds at Dragsters ert, I wouldn't doubt that Millenniums will have a huge turn out. I could be wrong, but I don't feel like taking that risk.

Plus nobody else in my group seems to be going.:)

Just noticed that an email was sent out to all FunTimes subscribers mentioning the ride night tomorrow night. If it's anything like TTD's first ride night, only expect one or 2 rides during ERT!

I will be saving my 400 miles of round trip driving for another day :)

Agreed. Having ERT open only to Joe Cool members (themselves a subset of Cedar Point season pass holders) was okay. But throwing it open to all CF Platinum Pass holders invites a much larger population of riders. They might as well cal it MNERT (Mostly Not Exclusive Ride Time).

With it being midseason, the advantage is that you will wait in a shorter line for the ERT than you did during the day...

In early June for the TTD ERT, the line was actually longer for ERT than it was at the end of the day.

It should just be call Extended ride time, because there was nothing about it that felt anywhere near "exclusive".

I may be whining (don't get me wrong, I love my platinum pass benefits) but I would like to see Joe Cool to come back in some way. It really made the E in ERT mean something plus it sounded better anyway compared to point perks. :(

How does this night ERT work? Do they still let everyone get in line until 10pm or do they close it earlier so that the line will empty out by 10?

Everyone can still enter the line until 7 or 8 minutes after park closing. The "MNERT" line will form outside the queue until they allow it to enter.

They should make a fancy man add on next year and just put my picture on it and it gives you fancy man perks all around the park.

What those perks would be I don't know. I'll come up with something tomorrow when I'm less tired.

The ERT didn't even happen last night. MF broke down and they rescheduled for next Thursday. Actually, there weren't too many people in line, but MF breaking down just ruined the ERT.

Good thing I didn't make the trek.

Ohhh, I'd have been royally peeved if they didn't even open anything else and I drove all that way.

I'm sure Tony heard plenty.

Hmm makes me rethink going to the second Maverick ride night in August. They don't have a very good track record this year for ERTs.
