I have been to CP numerous times for years. However, I have avoided it in July. This is my 2nd year with a pass, so I figured I would try to visit. I have been in late August a few years in a row. For those of you who have been in July (not counting the weekend of the 4th), is July actually really busy, or is it comparable to August?
Great! I've been there on the worst day ( I think I heard in CP history) a few years back during Halloweekends, but still sort of enjoyed it even though you couldn't walk without bumping into someone. I've also never been there (until this year) when you could walk right on rides. That was AMAZING!!! I have seen it all, and I was just curious! Thanks!! And I totally agree with you...I am obsessed and could be there every week just to walk around several times! :) Love it!
It's great to be able to walk on most of the rides, but to me, all the atmosphere isn't there with the park being dead.

It's usually never crazy busy during the summer - just not dead. The halloweekends by far get the crazy crowds anymore.
That is true...and for me, there is a disadvantage; my husband cannot just jump on ride after ride because he gets sick, so I end up being all by myself. So the crowds are an advantage for us if I have no one else to ride with. And Halloweekends...well, we've learned never to go on a Saturday again, but Sundays are really not too bad! I just love the parade!
Saturday's are fine to go on during Halloweekends if the weather is craptacular and it's not Columbus day weekend. Avoid that weekend like the plague.
