Joe Cool Exclusive Ride Time

I was reading that on May 9th and 30th, Joe Cool members will get exclusive ride time on 4 of CP's coasters. I will definatly be at the point on the 30th because I want to be able to take advantage of the $15 I paid for this club membership. Since they had the first one yesterday, how were the lines for the rides for those that were able to stay? I really have no idea how popular the Joe Cool Club really is and I hope it will be worthwhile to have this exclusive ride time. Also, since this is my first year in the club, I was just wondering how it worked when you wanted to get on a ride. Do you flash the workers your season pass with the Joe Cool thing on it so they let you in line? Just trying to clear up some questions I have. Thanks. I know this was sort of discussed in a previous post, but the search feature isn't working for me today. Thanks.

When I left the park at 9:30 (when they stopped letting people in line for ERT), the line for Dragster was still pretty long, so I bet that they only got one ride in during the ERT.
I got only got to the park at 7.30 or so last night (Friday), and took in 2 quick Raptor rides before heading to MF. After 4 rides, I headed over to TTD, I'm guessing at around 8:30 or so, and discovered the wait there was 2 hours. Went back to MF and got in another 4 rides :) The longest I waited at MF all evening was when the crew took the yellow train off, and ran only the blue train.

To all those who were there: great vibe on the platform! Blue! Blue! Blue! Blue!

Besides the great rides and being the best of everything, the best part about Cedar Point is that it isn't Six Flags! YAY!

Seeing as the day was also a weather-threatening, possible rain day I think that helped keep crowds down. We got there at 5pm and the wait times in line were only 5-10 minutes on everything except TTD and Mantis. Mantis only because it was closed until about 6pm and when it opened everyone flocked there to ride it. Waits on that were around 1 hr, TTD was about 3 hrs....... Then came ERT. :) I got 3 Magnum rides, a Mantis ride, 5 MF rides and 1 TTD ride during ERT. We headed over to TTD at 9:15 and 45 minutes later we launched at 10PM. They announced that after my train went they were only sending 3 more trains so they moved everyone around to make that happen. I can't wait until the 30th. That was awesome and a TTD ride at night made the day. The speedometer read 127 when we launched!!! ;)

haha Panman. That lady up front was trying to tell me there was a 2 hour wait at like 8:45. when there was really only about a 30-45min wait.

as for the rest of the ERT, I got 3 magnum rides... But I could have gotten those before the ERT started. (seeing how I got there around 7:15 and rode Iron Dragon, MF, then Raptor before 8. It took longer to walk from ride to ride then it took to wait in line and ride them.)

I headed to the park after track practice and got there around 6-630. The lines were already really short, but when ERT came around it was awesome. I particularly enjoyed going straight from the exit on MF to the entrance station without even walking all the way around, which produced 4 rides in about 20 minutes. My only complaint was that on my lone Dragster ride of the night, I was waiting for the front when, as cyberdman mentioned, they announced only 3 more trains would be launched. Unfortunately for me I was to be on the 4th train. But, Dragster is great in any seat so it really didn't bother me too much.

Richard, what'd you do?

I got there at six and managed 2 Raptor rides, WT, 3 PT rides, watched TTD for a few minutes, walked past Magnum which was sending empty trains, rode Gemini, MS, train back to Main Midway, 10 minute wait for MF.

Then for ERT, hit Magnum 6 times in a row (saw Magnum Dan there power riding) before heading to TTD. I met up with Voodoo along the way, and got in the 30 minute line after the lady told us 2 hour wait. We could have rode twice, and I talked to a few people who did, but we opted to wait for the front.

Well, the line ran out, and the people in front of us were to receive the last train of the night. We were upset, but obeyed the ride op and moved to the third row. However, there was an old guy behind us that refused to move. The op told him he had to choose a different seat or he wouldn't ride. Needless to say, I was very angry to look at the on-ride pics only to see that guy in what should have been our front seat! I understand that it wasn't the ride op's fault, but it really makes me mad that the guy behind us was allowed to ride in front and I had to move.

Sorry, this post really turned into more of a rambling trip report, but I just needed to get that off my chest.
