Joe Cool Club on a Maxx Pass from Geauga Lake?

I'm thinking of buying a Maxx Pass this summer and thought about getting Joe Cool Club since I should be going enough to the park to make it worthwhile. However, since Geauga Lake is the closer park to me I'll most likely buy and have the pass processed there. Would I be able to have Joe Cool Club applied to that pass, even though I bought it at Geauga Lake?

It was mentioned in an earlier thread that Maxx passes from other parks would be allowed early entry with Joe Cool members and onsite guests at Cedar Point. We will need to wait until the park opens to see if this is true or just someones wishful thinking.

That's the way its been in the past. My Michigan's Adventure pass would get me in even without resort ID.

At the front gate only CP passes with Joe Cool got in early (and the resort guests). We were not supposed to honor other CF passes for early entry. Whether or not every employee enforced that is a different story.

Ralph, I'm not speaking of past years.

This was information that was relayed to me this year. BUT, it was also stated in our conversation that this was not something new for this year but it was never advertised in years prior.

Ok, I see what you're saying now. Personally I don't think they should allow other CF park passes early entry as they did not pay extra for the early entry benefits (with the exception of the Paramount Gold Passes). But hey, whatever is good for business.

Loopy, I didn't look back at that thread to see who had said it. It was not ment to be an attack against anyone. As you had said, this was not a well known perk. I have followed this board for a while and I had never heard of it.

My home park is Kings Island (mom liked the park better when I was a kid). I now live about the same distance to both of them. There have been several policy changes and reversals this off season. Parking sticker/parking on pass, Ohio parking pass/seperate parking pass for each park, No Gold pass/ Gold pass, Family discount on 4 or more KI pass/No discounts on passes. The point I was trying to make, unfortunately rather poorly, was that until the season starts things could change, especially when you are talking about an unwritten rule. I am sorry that my prior comment implied you were being less than truthful. It was not ment to be that way.

Well, we didn't find out about it until last spring. And even then it was an accident. My sister and my friend Maggie went to go get in early on Sunday (the rest of us were moving slow). Maggie had a MiAdv pass and my sister a CP pass. They had forgotten the resort card in the cabin. They let Maggie in fine but held my sister up at the gate.

This was most definitely not an advertised perk.

Do CP max pass holders get the same perk when visiting other parks?

Most of the other parks don't have early entry. I won't say ALL just because I haven't checked with all the parks, but I know MiA doesn't and I'm pretty sure that ValleyFair doesn't.

The former Paramount parks have a 10 minute early entry for season pass holders of that specific park.

I was just on the phone with people in the season pass center talking to them about the MAXX Pass and I firgured I would ask about this. According to them "Maxx Pass holders from other parks are not offered the benefit of early entry to ride rides." And then the lady went on to explain how ERT is only offered to resort guests and Joe Cool Club members.

Could the fact they let pass holders in early was just a mistake? I know there have been several times where I've seen non-Joe Cool Members get in early, espically if they arn't at the main gate. When I would come to Cedar Point early. What time can I come in the PARK, and ride some of the RIDES and COASTERS with my Joe Cool Club?

Umm... I believe it is an HOUR early... And since WHEN do YOU own the Joe COOL Club? ;)

I'm not quite sure how many times I have to say this. I stood in front of one of Cedar Point's management team and listened to him tell me that, and I quote, "all sister park Maxx Passes get in at the same time as Joe Cool Club and resort guests."

Jess was standing right next to me and heard the exact same thing.

Unfortunately, in the next breath he said, "I'm sure there will be a learning curve with the seasonal employees but rest assured that she will get in with her KD Maxx Pass the same time as you do with your CP Maxx Pass with Joe Cool."

I'm refraining from mentioning any specific names because I know how people are and I'm sure he doesn't want everyone calling him saying that you heard this and that.

EDIT: I almost forgot...PARK RIDES COASTERS!!
