How do you become a Joe Cool Club member? I would really like to become one!!!

You have to have a Season Pass of some variety from Cedar Point (and not sister parks) in order to join.

I got the whole setup this year and in 2002. [season pass, parking pass and joe cool club] Actully, I got this years SP PP and JCC when they came out so I'd get a good deal on it. After that, I decided I wanted to work at Cedar Point this summer. Now I want to get my money back from it since I won't be needing it.

I got Joe Cool Club for two reasons: ERT with resort guests, and to get the parking pass on the ID. You need to have a CP ID to get JCC as stated above.

SteelMonsters - did you already redeem the certificates for the pass? If so, you're probably out the money (i.e. screwed). But if you haven't redeemed them yet, I think it says on the back of the certificate that you can get refunded.

I'm in much the same situation as you, but I plan on going to the park at least once before I process in to work and probably again in the fall, so I'm keeping my pass. If I had known I was going to work there again, I'd have probably not gotten JCC or the parking pass, but it's done now. And I'm looking at the bright side about the parking pass too - those pesky parking ban days won't apply to me! ;)

.Last year, (2002) I redeemed my certificates by mail, received my new pass in a few weeks, and then C.P. released the new deals on the Joe Cool Club. I didn't bother to join before because the only extra bonus time in the park was on, I believe two Thursday mornings and two Saturday morning the year prior. But now they were offering a half hour early into the park for half the season. I called the C.P. information line and was told to mail back my newly received pass along with $15.00 (the price of the Joe Cool Club)and a brief note explaining what I wanted and was told that they (C.P.) will cancel out my old pass and mail me a new one with the Joe Cool logo for no additional cost, except for the price of the Joe Cool Club membership. Also, if you have a parking certificate, you can mail that in also and have both Joe Cool and Parking put on your season pass.

And that's what I did for 2002 and didn't have any problems with C.P. issuing me a new pass. So if you already mailed in you pass cerificate(s), give C.P. a call and I'm sure that they can help you out.

The problem is that SteelMonsters is going to work for CP, and he already purchased a pass. The pass is not needed when you're an employee, and the question is will they refund it now.

The park will pro-rate your seaon pass... Like if you have used it once they will deduct $42 or whatever the admission price is for that day from the price you paid for the season pass. At least that's what they did last year. I don't know what they will do if you've never used it...

I still have the certificates. The season pass says "No refunds once certificate has been redeemed for Season Pass photo ID."

I'm just wondering how I can get a refund on them...

Contact the park, or stop by the SP office when you get there. If you have not redeemed the certificates (since you still have them you have not redeemed them), you can turn the certificates in for a refund.
