Should I look for the threads now where people doubted what I knew? ;)

Millennium Force laps: 50
Awesome pics, they're so Tubular! Funny that the one crane looks almost exactly like piece of MF track.
I'm just curious. Did Cedar Point prohibit you from showing those pictures for liability reasons, secrecy, security, etc.? Also, why did they prohibit the showing of those pictures past opening day if anybody who wanted to could basically see most of those views in person? Once again, I'm just a curious person wondering the reasons behind this. They're awesome pictures, thanks for posting them now that you're able to!
I'm willing to bet that they didn't want them posted just for basic "lets keep it hushed up" reasons..
You also have to ask yourself... why now??? maybe to help drum up interest as the season comes closer?? or maybe just because Jeff never asked??

MF 2001 - ???????
we'll just call Jeff Mr Exclusive :)
MuckMack - For the same reasons they didn't allow others to post pics..For the longest time they didn't want others to compromise the exclusive nature and the integrity of their website to bring you what they wanted you to see in regrds to the construction..I do agree with their choice to do that too. Those who saw and snapped pics of the construction still have a cherished piece of Force's birth and that is good enough.

Hey Jeff...any chance we can get a high-res version of that sunrise pic? I'd love to use that as my background...that's the most awesome MF pic I've ever seen!!!

Those pictures are so cool! I can't believe you were there on the day they did the pull through. I got one question concerning that though. What is with that crazy wooden thing in the second car??
Anyways, thanks for doing that, the pictures are awesome. You should consider making some of those high resolution desktop backgrounds. That would be nice.

My guess on the crazy thing-To check to make sure there is clearance on all parts of the coaster for people reaching in all directions.

It's an arch meant to make sure that someone with fairly long arms can reach out (even though you're supposed to keep your hands and feet in teh car at all times) and not worry about hitting anything. Be it structure, tree's.. things like that.
However, like I've said before.. if you have arms like mine.. and really reach there still is one point.. ouch.. but then again, I'm not your average height.

That's crazy wooden thing is an easy way to check the ride envelope. It represents a riders reach while on the ride. If the wooden plate or it's fingers hit or come close to hitting a post, crossing track, etc., time to redesign. Why this isn't considered before fabrication is beyond me?

I agree, it is a beautiful picture. Stephanie is a much better photographer than Jeff ;) .
Thanks, I'm surprised I didn't figure that out myself, but oh well.

Awesome pics! Now, let all the nay-sayers be quiet about updates.
Jeff, you should use that sunset pic for the Coastermania photo contest. I doubt there are many others that look as sweet as that!
What time did people start riding on
Media day. The one pic of sunrise appears to have people riding already
CP LOVER IN CO
Where the coaster are FEW
and the few Coaster are LAME
Just a quick thanks to all of you who complimented my Millennium Force sunrise picture. I know Jeff is mighty jealous! :) However, at the time I snapped this picture, he was riding so maybe I should be the jealous one!
