jeff, whats with closing all the topics?

lol, i know this will get closed with the quickness too, but why do you close so many topics?

there were 2 or 3 topics i read today that i would have liked to answer or comment on but you closed them to fast.

isnt the whole point of a /msg board to talk about things on our minds? its almost like your trying to play god and lets us only talk about what YOU see fit. not trying to be a dik or anything but whats with all the censoring?

just my 2 cents.... lets see how long till this gets closed or removed...

I can't answer your questions, but I will say this: People think you're cool for using six question marks in a row. I mean, no one has ever thought to do that before. And it's not at all annoying.

And since this topic is dumb, I hereby declare it hijacked. New topic: According to a commercial I saw this evening, The Early Show (CBS's morning infotainment program with twelve hosts or something) will feature its segment on Top Thrill Dragster that was shot a couple weeks ago. At least, I think that commercial was tonight. Eh, it's summer, the days run together.

I'm sure you'll get your answer very soon (lol Jeff). If this question belongs anywhere, it belong in the general forum. Jeff gave us this wonderful system of orginization so that all types of topics wouldn't end up in one big forum.

Well, these ARE MODERATED BOARDS, and when things are being repeated or just plain dumb, I guess the guy who runs the site has the right to act on it ;)

If I were Jeff, I'd close this topic too. You guys are just wasteing disc space.

i know its moderated and all, thats not my point. there was a question posted here yesterday about what speed TTD needs to get over the top hat. not a bad question. i wanted to add that i saw it clear at 115 the last time i was there. BUT, the topic was closed before anyone could answer. there was another topic on wicked twister about the quick launches from the ride ops. i wanted to say something about that, but again CLOSED. (i could list a few more too)

i'm not trying to flame, or piss anyone off. it just sucks when there is a topic you want to add something to and it gets closed for no reason other then "i have the power". besides, look at the topics on the first page. i still see junk on here that got closed like over a week ago. so its not like this board is SO busy that we need the room.

There are many reasons a topic might be closed or deleted. Check out the terms of service for all kinds of examples. #10 may answer some of your questions.

At the top of the CP Place main page, it says: "This is a moderated forum to reduce the noise and give you more of what you're looking for... Cedar Point discussion!" Moderating has nothing to do with conserving space. It has everything to do with eliminating the junk. The last paragraph on the Terms of Service page is worth reading. Of course, the entire Terms of Service is worth reading ... and everyone does that before they post, right? :)

The reason why your topic was probably closed is because it was repeating something you could have found in another thread. If there is one thread about webcameras at Cedar Point then another one is not nessesary (sp?). Also, there is a search engine that you can also use to look things up.

Now as far as freedom of speech, Jeff owns this forum and he has the right to dictate what is said and what things will be done. It's one of those, "If you don't like it, get out," type of things.

Folks, could you not flame the guy for asking a question?

I know I am not Jeff (thank heaven) But the topics with either no real relevance to anything or topics that do have relevance but are just a bunch of noise get closed. It is simple logic as stated above read the TOS and you will know.
