Jeff, How can you sleep tonight??

Just curious, what time do the festivities begin tomorrow? When should we expect to see updates on the site, and what type of items should we expect to see? Pictures? Answers to questions (4 cars, tree lights, etc.)?

I wish I were in your shoes right now! I'm not going for another 13 days, and I'm having a hard time sleeping!

I was told to be there at 8:00 in the morning...I was just invited by a friend.....

The gathering starts at 0800, media talk at 0915, rides on TTD starts at 0930 to sometime in the afternoon with a break for lunch. My wife is going as a media guest. Needless to say, I wish I was going.

I slept just fine, did have a couple of weird dreams though. I will be leaving for the Ppoint in about 15 minutes.

On the news they said that everything started up at 5:30 AM, but it hasn't run yet due to weather. Dick Berry from Channel 11 news from Toledo said that it isn't running due to a lightning strike overnight that screwed with the electrical system. He might be wrong, but that's what he said...

At 7:35 this morning, the morning DJ from WDOK in Cleveland, Trapper Jack, reported that maintenance personell were busy replacing or repairing a computer with a motherboard that had been fried by a lightening strike overnight.

And you'd think they'd have measures in place to prevent something like that from happening, considering TTD is the area's biggest lightning rod. I didn't hear about the computer problem, I thought they just delayed it as to not risk anybody getting fried. I got my season pass yesterday (didn't have to wait at all!), and returning there on the 4th!

EDIT: just read on another thread it is deeply grounded, but the lightning may have hit somewhere else and bypassed the grounding.
