A little back story now if you don't mind:
My very first rollercoast was located @ CP, the Wildcat. This was back in the day when it was on the other side of the park. The memory is foggy but will mever fade away. Each time since I've been back, I drag whoever I go onto that cat weather they want to or not. Telling them how this was my first coaster and how I still enjoy it. BUT, to my dismay, I've recently discovered that THE original WC was re-located(true?) by browsing thru this site. None the less, I'll claim ignorance and still let it be know to my next co-rider that the current WC was, and still is my 1st.
Continuing with my "CP auto-bio", the memories are still fresh in my mind. Such as going on White Water Landing the first year it was open with the family. The "sack-ride" where you rode down a slide in a potato sack, provided me with ride after ride of joy as a kid. The sheer terror of slowly ascending the power tower on that insanly small bike seat. I've never failed at having a great time at the park.
Well, needless to say, I haven't been on da Force, which is the only major ride I haven't been on. I noticed there is a short cut on getting to the station first thing in the morning. My question is, is there a line that forms at the Marina gate and if so just how early is it? My guess is that the 9th shouldn't be too busy, so I should have short waits for most rides, which would be awsome!
While I'm at it, where about is the Midway Market? On the CP site it says near the Raptor. Was this just added in the past year??? cause I don't reconise the building at all that is in on the official site. From what I hear on this forum, it sounds like the "official eatin-spot for the gttp forum peeps". Must be good!
One final question if ya don't mind. The park closes at 11pm. Do they close the ride que's before closing time or at closing time? I wouldn't want to be loafing around at 10:30 if the lines get closed at 10:40, ya know!
Welp, thanks for listening in on my story and hopefully I'll be able to write up a meaningful TR with my thoughts of the park.
Later-
