Is Windseeker ok with bad back

My husband has a bad back--fairly severe. So most of the thrill rides are out for him. However, Windseeker looks like it may be okay. Any input from those of you who have ridden it?

I don't see what about Windseeker would cause him problems...it's a pretty smooth ride. I think you may have found something for him. :)

Promoter of fog.

I agree. I feel that he will be ok.

Agreed...very smooth and fun ride. The thrill comes from the height, especially for me having an intense fear of heights. But I still love those coasters. :)

Its very smooth. only thing you have to worry about is it being open. yesterday it was closed all day.

The ride to the park will give him more pain than Windseeker will.

I agree. It is a very smooth ride however if you are still concerned you can ride it by yourself before taking him on it to see for yourself.

The only thing you might need to worry about is pressure at the base of the spine from being spun like that. It's not a lot but if he has really severe back problems it could bother him.

Windseeker will be al right for him.Whatever you do keep him AWAY from the Dodgems. If he goes on them he'll be in traction before he leaves the ride. It's a fun ride, but it can be a back killer.

Might be a good idea to hold the seats steady for him as he climbs in, as they tend to move and sway a decent amount. Other than that, the ride has no real forces to speak of.

Did his back injury occur as a result of riding Mean Streak? lol

Windseeker should be fine for him tho, I find the ride extremely smooth and relaxing

WindSeeker is a ride where you can just relax and cool off.

Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!

I checked with Windseeker for you, and she is indeed okay with your husband's back being bad. Wicked Twister sends his condolences.

I am so excited about all of your great answers! Some of them so amusing...thanks for the smiles. Being the rollercoaster enthusiast he has always been, I am sure all the years of rollercoaster abuse before he was diagnosed didn't help without proper physical therapy beforehand. And Ensign....thanks for "going the extra mile" for added info. I did check the rides' physical advisements, but back is a "no-go" on their scale. I like the idea of going on it first since i am a personal trainer and can detect the muscles used. Like I wrote in previous thread, the fast pass will help us for the rides I want to do but he cannot. He cannot go on the rides with me using the special disabilities pass because it appears as though that consideration is for those who can actually ride the ride, which doesn't make sense (seems like i read a thread concerning that regulation before). That disabilities consideration makes me believe we can go on the ride through the exit ramp. Can i just go on the rides alone with him designated as a disabilities person once we get to the entry for people with disabilities? FYI...he doesn't need a wheelchair but does use a cane.

I hope you'll let us know how it goes after your visit.

Chris
