Is Wave Swinger being removed?

I have gone to CP 2 times this season. On Sunday when we walked by Wave Swinger it was fully assembled and yesterday it was almost completely taken apart.

Wave Swinger is designed for rapid assembly and disassembly. So far as I know, Cedar Point hasn't said a word about it. With no further information and a sense that Cedar Point probably doesn't want their new ride count this season to drop to -3, I am inclined to think Wave Swinger might be back very soon, possibly as soon as this weekend.

My evidence for this? None.

It seemed to be down quite a bit over opening weekend, so perhaps they are deciding to face whatever issue is now during these quieter weeks instead of limping along for a while.

It was completely taken apart during the winter. So, I'm guessing they're just having some issues. I don't think it's giong anywhere.

I sure hope not.

As a kid who was scared of roller coasters (but now loves them) I spent countless hours riding the wave swinger, trying to kick the tree branches over the control booth (but never reaching them of course).

I'd be pretty sad to see that ride go.
