Do you guys think the fog is a bit excessive? For navigation it is completely over the top, and driving around the point is just downright awful with it.
Anyone else feel the fog machine is a few notches too high?
about a week ago i went and i was driving to the soak city lot and i couldnt see 10 feet in front of me with the amount of fog.

There can never be enough fog! Dont start to complain because then they will turn it down just like in the Maverick tunnel and then people will get mad and then there will be 100 topics on "When is the fog gonna come back on???!!".
Let's Get Weird.
There were reasons other than complaints on a message board (although I don't remember any) for why the fog was removed from the Maverick tunnel.

I was lost too until I read his other post where he says he's drunk.

I think there was a lot. Tonight on MF pulling out of the first drop we went through a bunch of fog. But...I did think it was fun going through the fog on MF.

Please remember that whenever there is a slight breeze the fog becomes way too thin. Keep the fog on high.
I completely concur. There's nothing as dissapointing at the Point than heading up for Halloweekends only to have a very windy night and to have the different zones be lame because of it.
I say, keep the fog. The thicker the better!
There is no such thing as too much fog. I understand it has shown up on weather radar before, which is pretty amazing. There are more fog machines in the zones this year, but they came at the expense of the random midway fog machines. Hopefully next year there will be even more.

Thanks! My bad, I drank a little too much on Friday night. Don't even remember posting on here. But we did wait an hour and a half for the Macho Nacho's in the restaurant adjacent to the Palace Theater.

The fog levels seem to fluctuate depending on the crowd (and of course, not to mention the wind), which I think is appropriate.

If you think there is too much fog, why don't you head on over to Kennywood and complain there. There is no such thing as "too much fog". I am very familiar with the park and I have never been so disoriented as I was while in Fear Faire. The fog is perfect, I'd actually prefer more and make it more constant.

I miss the fog machines on the Main Midway and by Toots Sweets. I haven't paid strict attention this year but they haven't been on during the day as seen here in this video especially at 4:57 at 8:06. Although now that I think about it they may start them prior to the FZ opening is what that video shows. But they definitely aren't on during the day in the Main Midway. The one underneath the Fright Zone skull is probably one of those from the MM. I know fog spills over onto the Midways from the outdoor haunted areas but it's not the same as having fog machines on the Midways.
Kings Island's Halloween Haunt uses a lot of fog as well. But they don't use a lot of backlighting to blind you while you walk thru it like the Fright Zone does for example (which I like).
Seeing the FZ and WWC fog from on top of MF is something I look forward to. And riding Mav or Skyhawk from WWC's fog is cool.
They put a constant fogger inside the CCMR faux mine entrance that I don't remember from last year which is nice. *** Edited for spelling 10/10/2007 10:23:44 PM UTC by HalloWeekends!*** *** Edited 10/10/2007 10:25:09 PM UTC by HalloWeekends!***
The fog on the midways is something that I missed seeing this year as well. I did enjoy riding Blue Streak Friday night and going through the bunny hills that were covered with fog.
The amount of fog is just right. I love the fog. If you don't like it, close your eyes.
One thing that I enjoy is when you are in the parking lot and can see fog coming from CarnEVIL and Fear Faire. Also I like being on the Sky Ride looking over near Fright Zone. It looks so cool because the fog pours out from the tops of the trees.

Yeah I was going to say that if you arrive late when you drive into the main lot the fog is rising above the park beautifully and also lit in an interesting manner in the HW's lighting. (Note to self get a video of that). It's the only type of low-odor "smoke" I approve of in the park. They have to use be using some quality fog juice. The low rent stuff can smell bad. *** Edited 10/10/2007 11:58:00 PM UTC by HalloWeekends!***
The fog is thick, but just right for the needed atmosphere. Interesting that cigarette smoke appears not to be a concern as the new policy is flaunted in the faces of park and security staff and they don't seem to give a d*m*.
Kudos to those who seek out the smoking areas and properly use them. Those who don't should realize that their rights are respected, but they should respect others rights also.......especially kids.
Recently saw 2 dudes drinking a beer and having a smoke in the Blue Streak line.......please remember the kids!
