You're probably thinking of "Modern Woman". I hear it all the time along the Gemini Midway.

Yep, it's Modern Woman. Good song, I've been hearing it at the Point for at least two years now.

Yeah, it seems that any park that doesn't have its own soundtrack seems to figure out a way to include that one. But then, last year when I visited Geauga Lake it sounded like they had the entire Billy Joel collection in the loop...I walked into the animal side and they were playing "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant". Somewhat odd.

Not as odd as when Americana's entire midway loop seemed to consist of The Carpenters greatest hits, but still...

My wife cringes every time we hear Modern Woman at CP. Really annoys her, but I don't really know why.

I think the Midway music should consist of nothing but gospel, opera, and hip hop, played simultaneously.

Just kidding. *** Edited 5/22/2004 3:36:33 PM UTC by meanspirit(not really)*** *** Edited 5/22/2004 3:36:56 PM UTC by meanspirit(not really)***

I'll take that over that song they're playing every 15 minutes at SFGAm!!! Isn't hearing it on the commercial enough??

Interesting observation...

CP's main midway loop now includes Entry of the Gladiators which seems somehow appropriate, but which I have never heard at Cedar Point before.

That song reminds me of being at the circus or the carnival.
