is this it?

i know what i can and can not do.
i see there's no tab for guest with disabilities.
i want to be held accountable to all the tabs on this page.

i do not want cedar point to tell me i can't ride.

If you are unable to be restrained by a rides restraint system, you will be told you can't ride.

The last time you asked, I gave you the link for the Guests with Disabilities which contains this:

https://www.cedarpoint.com/images/uploads/file/2013_CP_Guest_Assist...Guide2.pdf

I'd pay particular attention to pages 7 and 8 and then read the ride restrictions on all the rides listed thereafter.

Thank you for the kind thoughts.
I've been riding coasters all my life.
Recently a friend of mine visited kings dominion Virginia and was told she couldn't ride. She has a similar disability as me. I've ridden all the rides at KD as a kid. Something has changed at some parks, I'm not sure what.
But it makes me nervous about my trip to cedar point.

Blondie -

Thankfully I am fully able, but this thread caused me to read pages 7 and 8. Several things stuck out to me.

One is that Cedar Fair seems to be going out of their way to ensure as many disabled people can ride as possible. I was pleasantly surprised with the depth and detail they went through to outline what is required to ride and why.

Two was the multiple references to "attitude" - not in so many words but the references to the rider showing the proper attitude in wanting to cooperate in the loading/unloading procedure and as well as the safety instructions and rules. It was clear to me that they were willing to do everything possible to get a handicapped guest onto their rides as long as those individuals were physically able, cooperative and respectful of Cedar Fairs safety rules and concerns. It seemed to me that they were trying to say that attitude was a big part of the equation. Keep that in mind on your next visit.

Please let us know how things go. I am sure CP will go out of their way to be helpful for you, but I am curious how you find their basic access accommodations. Things like - were you able to get your wheelchair everywhere you needed to? Were there areas you wanted to go that you couldn't that could have been reasonably accommodated? For example if your chair is motorized and non collapsible, I don't see how you could ever be able to use the skyride (unless as a round trip). That is different than not being able to get into a restroom.

I hope you have a wonderful trip.

Dave

I think the loading procedure for Skyride would make it difficult to accomadate many guests with mobility issues and that really can't be changed. Having to enter and exit quickly with a floor that isn't even or stable would be problematic.

After looking at your website, I think I may have seen you at the park, if you were there Tuesday. I think you asked the ride host at the Maverick entrance if it was going to open and you said you came all the way from VA to ride it. It's cool that I may have encountered another PointBuzz user.

I was disappointed it didn't open on Tuesday. But at least you got to ride it one of the days you were there. Maverick is one ride I don't leave without going on. But, Tuesday made that impossible. At least I got to ride it a few other times this year. I only 2 hours away so I go to the park every few weeks. Hope it's running when I go in September as that will most likely be my final visit this year.

good luck. :)
