is the line long enough

every time i watch the web cam there is a line which go's out of the set line and down the side of the station. is the line to short or is the ride just to popular.

Is this the case with the other big rides at cedar point. i.e mf, mean streak, magnum xl200, wt

Well when ever i have seen the line out of the queue and down by the station its because they havnt opened the whole queue line, the first section is usually closed off and it goes right to the 2nd section.
When I was there when Dragster was working, like a day or two before the long downtime...the line was actually very short, and I think those people standing outside near the station are spectators watching the riders and looking at their expressions of just riding the world's tallest and fastest roller coaster!

it seems very mixed then. i live in england (uk) and havent yet viseted dragster.

with extended downtimes, a lot of people also leave the lines, so there is a constant flux in population and it relates to whether the ride is working or not. People come rushing over when it works, and leave when it doesnt. The only way to understand the line is to watch minute-to-minute.
Speaking of "lines"...

I'm not picking on anybody in particular because this seems to be rampant on almost all boards and newsgroups...

Contained in the thread above is the term "queue line". Is it at all possible to stop this? It is the same as saying "queue queue" or "line line".

Jeff: This board's software finds objectionable words and changes them to *'s. Is this list tailorable by you, the owner? Would you consider adding "queue line" to the list and having it show up as "***** line" or "queue ****"?

It's like when I hear people say "hot water heater", "UPC code" and "ATM machine".

And if you want to change "DaveDzRochNY" to all *'s, be my guest. Thought I'd just beat everybody to the punch.

Ok DaveDzRochNY... Whatever.

Anyway, I was just at CP yesterday and friday and I noticed that when TTD was running smoothly the other big rides didnt have long lines because most people were flocking to Dragster. But when it was down the other rides had long lines (i.e 2 hours + for MF)... so there you go did anyone else notice this?

I don't think I've seen the entire queue filled for a while now, so the allotted queue area is definitely sufficient. As others have said, usually the only time people are outside is when the ride is testing and about to open, and there are always spectators watching too. I'm beginning to wonder whether I like TTD or the great effect it has on other lines, for example MF, as it's quite often less than an hour wait these days (By this I mean TTD in it's current on/off state...I'm sure I'd like a dependable TTD better than a shorter line for MF).

"line" Is geometry.

"queue" is, on occassion, pain. ;)

DaveDzRochNY, I agree with most of your examples, except I am not certain about "hot water heater." Technically, a "hot water heater" would not be a heater for making water hot, but rather a heater for making hot water hotter...there is one of those built into my dishwasher.

Full agreement about "queue line" though. That one was a half-baked phrase clearly cooked up by someone in the Department of Redundancy and Repetition Department.

Maybe it's a regional thing, but when people here in upstate New York say "hot water heater" (I gag as I type it), they mean that thing in the basement that takes your cold water and makes it hot for household use. That is a WATER HEATER, plain and simple.

To keep this post on-topic: I see by the webcam that there is no line for TDDragster at Cedar Point today.

It is down for today.
