Is Sunday really slow?

I looked at the FAQ here and it states that Sunday is typically the slowest day in terms of attendance. I also noted that Cedar Point's recommends Sunday as one of the days to go if you're trying to avoid the crowds. This surprises me a bit, as I always figured the park's busiest days would be Saturday followed by Sunday. If this is the case, I'll have to make it out to the park more often on Sunday (including tomorrow for JCC if it's not raining)..

Slow is a relative term. Cedar Point always has people there. may is a slow month. Past that, it'll be packed in June, July, & August on Sunday's. Come September & October, it's only open on weekends, so it's packed then, too.

Looking forward to Cedar Point- July 4th-5th, 2007!

When we visit the park, we get in on Sunday late afternoon. By the time we check in to the room and get to the park it's about 5:30-6:00 and the crowds are starting to lighten up. We can most always get off and back on Maggie,MS,and Raptor. We ride MF the next morning during ERT.

This year we are going to ride MF at night. We,ve never done it :( so I cant wait.

Sundays aren't bad at all actually, just like any other weekday. You never know how the crowds are gonna be except on Saturday, when you can expect huge crowds 100% of the time.

Hail to the Victors

If you want to base it off last year's attendance, Sundays in May/June were incredibly light. I've never EVER seen the line for Millennium end at the Unload station with the exception of a Friday during Halloweekends.

2005/2006: Cedar Point - Millennium Force
2007/2008/2009: Walt Disney World - Magic Kingdom - Tomorrowland Speedway
2008: Hard Rock Park - Maximum RPM! Opening Supervisor
2008/2009: Universal Orlando - Men in Black: Alien Attack Team Leader, Guest Services Coordinator

Whenever i go on Sundays its like never crowded. but shh ;)

Total Maverick rides for the 2007 season = 27

Top 5--- 1. Maverick- 2. Millennium 3. Magnum 4. TTD 5. Gemini

Cavs- 2007 Eastern Conference Champions!.-

I just got back from a quick trip to the park with a friend. We entered at the Marina entrance right at 9am and ran straight over to Millennium, which we rode (ONLY!) twice and then decided we wanted to ride TTD, and then leave the park (we both have quite a bit of work to do today, so we knew this would be a brief visit). After waiting a half hour in a line outside the queue, we abandoned TTD when they still hadn't opened the queue a bit after 10am. They weren't even running empty trains, so I have no idea what was going on there. Is it normally open for ERT?

We then went on Magnum twice (you can't go on it only once when it's a walk-on), and walked over to Maverick since my friend hadn't yet got to look at it in person. Very sad to see the missing section of track where the heartline roll was. With the two cranes just sitting there, I imagine the new track pieces and supports will arrive at the park soon. At least I can hope. :)

It's turned out to be a BEAUTIFUL day. Earlier this morning I wasn't sure, but as we got closer to Sandusky (we left from Lorain), it got nicer and nicer. By the time we left a bit after 11am it was gorgeous, and had to be at least 70 if not warmer inside the park. The crowds weren't too bad when we left..

Sundays are great days to go. The attendance is usually low. I got 2 rides on Millennium Force and 2 on Raptor. Each time there was a very short wait. The only ride with much of a wait was TTD.

This is a prime example why predicting crowd levels just can't be done:

CP doesn't even predict it right. *** Edited 5/20/2007 9:46:09 PM UTC by Gomez***

2007:Corkscrew | Magnum XL-200 | Maverick

Just got back from the park today, I wouldn't say it was slow, but I've seen much worse. I think the iffy weather forecast scared people away early in the day because the waits got longer as the day went on. There were a lot of high school kids who looked they had just had prom. Maybe CP was part of the after-prom festivities. I don't know. Dragster was about an hour and 15 minute wait, MF was an hour, Raptor 30 minutes (early afternoon).
