I guess those 4-5 people I saw on the ride last year during Halloweekends weren't enough to keep it open. ;)

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
It is supposed to open if the temperature is above a certain point. I believe it's 55 degrees. But, I have yet to see it open a single weekend I've been there this fall (otherwise known as all of them). Last year it cooled off so much so early, and ridership was so low they just closed it for the season. My guess is they've done the same this year.

I actually think they need to make an effort to open this ride when temperatures are high, even during Halloweekends. I went the last week of September I believe, it was quite warm, and I heard numerous people wishing a water ride was open. Having said that, if those people could instead be screamsters in Fright Zone, by all means, send them there.
