Is Shoot the Rapids even really open on Saturdays and Sundays?

The back gets pretty wet on Shoot the Rapids also. If the legit 3rd row were open, that would be the best seat for not getting wet. It also seems like the ride is moving at a swifter pace.

Shoot the Rapids was open on 10/24. Surprisingly large amount of people riding too. I didn't though, as I'd prefer not to experience the first stages of hypothermia. I did, however spend about $5 at the water cannons. Best way to spend money at CP!

I think it is hilarious and crazy when I am at the park on a 50 degree day and there are these teens and their siblings/friends all hurrying to race in line for SRF and other water rides. haven't seen it yet for STR, though.

But, they are all wearing layers of clothing, such as t-shirts, thick long jeans and sports jerseys, and tennis shoes with thick socks on.

They get off the ride SOAKED to the bone, all layers drenched wet, and continue to run back in line!! it's like they originally dress in layers for warmth, then totally defeat the purpose of dressing warm by riding water rides! How do you go around all day in wet clothes when its 50's out?

BTW, I have seen people ride in sweaters before......:)
