I've been to Cedar Point once with my family and I absolutely loved it. I am a huge coaster fanatic and my homeparks are PKD, BGW, and SFA. Obviously none of these compare to Cedar Point and it's about time I take my girlfriend and my best friend to the Point. School ends for me the Wednesday before opening day so we were going to head up Sunday night and hit the park on Monday and Tuesday, the 15th and 16th. Are these good days? We're trying to go when it's not too crowded because we don't have the option of going back very often due to the 7 hour drive. Please let me know if these are good days. Thanks.

Thats a good question. I'm going on the 15th also. I figured the crowd wouldn't be too bad because most high schools are still going. I'm in college and I get out the first week of May but I didn't want to go opening day because of crowds.

I'll be there too. I never go on opening day. I always make my first visit to the park the first weekdays they are open. It should be great!
You bet it will be a good time. I'll be there the 16th for sure!

I also thought that May 16,17,18th would be good too. I'm also looking forward to as much time in the park as possible before all of the schools let out.
I'm taking three vacation days May 17-19. You can bet I'll be at CP for at least 2 of those days!

HA HA HA, MELLENIUM FORCE, YEAH BUDDY!
In the opening week at Cedar Point (at least Mon-Tues-Wed) you are generally looking at, well, non-existant lines. I went last year on May 10 (the monday after the park opened, and never had to wait more than 5 minutes the whole day.
I've got my fingers crossed that i will be able to make the trip on the 15th (even though I am going on the 7th, too :))
The only down-side to visiting C.P. on a weekday in May is that they usually will not run as many trains on the coasters as they would on a busier day. So don't be suprised if they are only running one train on the Magnum for instance. And perhaps having only one side of Power Tower running as well. Other than that, a weekday in May is the best time to go (weather permitting).
I hope there isnt to many people because I am going on that monday to
Remember that the 18th is the official physics day. Not the best of the May weekdays to go.
I've been there during the first week since 86 and it's always the best week of the season. NO LINES. IT'S GONNA BE GREAT.
I was unaware that there was a bad day to go to the point... But anyway, whenever you choose to go I'll see you when you ride the force!!!

Tim, thanks for letting me know that the 18th is physics day. My daughter and I were going the 16th through the 18th, but I don't want to be at CP overrun with kids. This happened to us last summer at SFGA. Guess we will be changing our plans and going Monday to Wednesday. Since we were going on opening day, I wonder whether we should just stay from Saturday until Wednesday ;)
