Is it possible to do it all in one day???

Howdy. I'm new here. Actually, I've been reading the board for a while. My name may sound off the CP topic, but that's my other hobby that gives me that name.
Anyhow, I'll be making a trip to NE Indiana with my parents this summer to visit relatives and it's planned to make a trip east to hit CP. I haven't been to the park since '95 when Raptor was the newest thing. I got 2 rides on Raptor and Magnum on both days I was there and multiple rides on Gemini also. I was thinking about making the trip on a Sunday or Monday to hopefully alleviate some of the crowds, but it will still be in early July, so I don't know if that will help. Anyways, do you think it will be possible to hit all the coasters and then some in one day or should I go for the 2-day ticket?

Welcome to Guide to The Point!

Is it possible to do it all in one day? Well, it depends on what you consider "all." If you're talking coasters, I would contend that it is possible on all but the absolute busiest days.

However, I would suggest spending two days there so you're not rushed. You go to Cedar Point for recreation, and trucking around the park full speed is hardly my idea of recreation. Enjoy the park and take two days. Then you won't miss fun stuff like the candle shoppe, the shows, the Summer -cough- Spectacular -cough-, etc.

I'm not a big show person myself. What exactly is the Summer Spectacular? I've never been since they've had it. Sounds like you're a real fan of it. hehe I was thinking of taking 2 days really anyways. Considering the Raptor lines are fairly long and the MF line will probably be pretty long. Then you gotta account for down-time for food, first aid, and foot massages, a little girl-watching here and there, gawking at the height of MF for about 30 minutes, etc, etc. I guess you're right. 2 days it is.
Thanks,
Jason
More reasons to extended your stay at Cedar Point, you should also take into account at least 1/2 day at Soak City, and perhaps a boat cruise to the nearby islands. Pelee and Kelleys Islands are really nice day-trips! Staying at the Breakers or Sandcastle is highly recommended, because you have the finest beach on the great lakes right at your doorstep!

Is it May yet??

Summer Spectacular is a laser light show put to music, with fireworks at the end.

Now guys--be fair
isnt the "other" name for Summer Spectacular
"Summer Sucktacular?"
Of course I could be wrong about that-I wasted
I mean waited 10 minutes last season to see what all the hoopla was over this show-
and after the first 3 minutes-I grabbed my kid and headed back to Magnum--or Raptor I cant remember....
I can do it all in 1 day
but my "all" does not include alot of stuff!!
2 days a better bet!!

Welcome back Raptor riders-how was your flight??
I'm sure you could do it in one day, because I rode the Raptor, Magnum, Power Tower, and Mantis all three times. I rode Meanstreak, Gemini, and Corkscrew all once.If you add all of these up you get 15. That was all of the rides with the longest waits. This was in late August too.

Hey 1badgmc, which city are you staying at in Indiana, I'm asking because I live in NE Indiana.
Make it the best possible time you can have... Stay an extra day...
You are driving a long way to get here anyway...
