Is INTAMIN ready for another????

My local "so called" thrill park is advertising a ride from INTAMIN...Perhaps they realize TTD is a one of a kind and can't top it, so to speak. Interested to see what you folks think... www.hersheypark.com is the link

In addition to my 1st post, here is the "press release"

The world's 1st hydraulic launch coaster featuring inversions will race into Hersheypark for the 2004 season.

Built by renowned Intamin AG of switzerland, the new high speed coaster will accelerate from 0-72 in appx. 2 seconds. Climbing a near vertical incline to a height of 150 ft. and then plummeting appx. 180 ft. at a 90 degree angle.

Top Hat- 150 ft

Power Drop- 180 ft

Cobra Loop 135 ft

ETC.

Sounds to me like TTD cannot be beat....

What do they mean by "power drop"? Anyways, even though it's not as tall or fast as Top Thrill Dragster or even Xcelerator, I can't wait to check it out next year.

Egg nog... how'd they think that up?
"I want to get a little drunk... but I also want some pankcakes."

My guess is the "Power Drop" includes the Cobra Roll, which means the 90 degree drop is quite less than advertised.
There are several active conversations at coasterbuzz on this topic as I write.

As for this new layout, the 'flying snake dive' thing looks completely wrong in all the right ways.

Like Brian said, this is better suited for CoasterBuzz.
