I just took a look at this T-shirt. I don't see a Maverick connection, this shirt just advertises CP's coasters in general. The CP coaster skyline, with a mean looking coaster serpent coiled around it says that CP has some giant coasters, hence "Bad To The Bone".
I really doubt a one year old T-shirt design has any significance to the 2007 project.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Come on guys. We're getting off topic. Now here is my original post, that you all wanted here in this one.
When the word "Unprecedented" came up in reference to the 2007 attraction, I began to ponder the definitions of Unprecedented and Maverick.
Well, Unprecedented means, like no other. No previous example. Does this mean a new coaster type?
The second definition for Maverick is One who does not follow the rules; a radical. In other words a rule breaker...Or perhaps a "Record-breaker" like no other. Will this next attraction be a record breaker like no other? 500 Ft? Inversions? Length?
Whatever the 2007 attraction is, I'm sure the top secret envelope is pretty thick...with record breaking stats and/or a new coaster type.
Another name for Maverick is Bohemian...BT? Bohemian Tangler...yeah, you're right. It's dumb. lol. But seriously..a new coaster type, you think?
"Before you know it, that Maverick's got the drop on ya."
Yeah, you probably havent heard of this, but the people that made fun of you in high school call it sarcasm. It's the only thing that holds this lil coaster community together. I'm glad I make you laugh, for whatever reason. I was worried that you were uptight ... or something.
But as you may be slowly finding out, by you repeating me and the stupid random things I say, you look just as if not more idiotic. And hopefully this post closes soon because people like you have lost the point of it all.

I think there is too much emphasis being placed on the text of the blog, and not enough on the context. So, yeah, the word "unprecedented" was used, but I really doubt its significant. T&T aren't that subtle. Usually, if they want you to pick up on a reference, they make it pretty obvious.
As for tying "unprecedented" with Maverick, you make a good point, but again, I don't see the connection. Not every coaster name translates literally to the ride type, but moreso to the ride experience - which, I suppose, could be considered the same in some cases. In the case of Maverick, I think that the name sounds cool, and the definition fits (rogue, untamed, wild) with almost any ride in the eyes of the GP, regardless of whether or not its a record-breaker.
Mantis and Raptor are good examples of ride names that translate pretty literally to the ride experience, but those are fairly obvious to most people. Raptor = bird = flight = inverted. This probably makes more sense in retrospect, but you get the idea. However, saying that Maverick will translate into a record-breaker doesn't seem to hold as much water, in my opinion, simply because its not so straightforward.

What Project 2007 is... I think we can all agree it will be 'big'. By big I mean in terms of how they promote it, how they sell it to the public. However, I don't think we should be so quick to assume that it's the next world record breaker. Why? Because not even the 400 fts can work perfectly. It's not like in 2001, after MF, they built a 400 ft coaster. Why? Because they had to get the bugs out associated with 300ft. This is true, even though there are differences in the type of coaster system to achive the speed.
Since Cedar Fair has applied for a TradeMark (Yes?), and have asked for the use of Maverick is several way including small items like Keychains, and Snowglobes, all the way to Amusement Park Ride. I think Cedar Point will make a big deal for whatever this is, wheater 500' or lower.
I think we need to stop assuming, and take time to look at the real facts. However, I do hold the fact I'm not in the inner circle. But I see the reality behind Cedar Point. True, I could be wrong. And if my all means, should I be wrong, I do not claim on ever being 100% correct. Just as a little disclaimer.
But the only world records that really catch the GP's attention are the overall height and speed records. Neither of which were broken by Woodstock Express (1999).
But most of the rides did break some records for their classification. Raptor was the tallest and fastest invert. Mantis was tallest and fastest stand-up. I just wouldn't call those world records.

I have a feeling we truly won't know what this is until the season is over. Personally, I want quality over any record breaker. I don't care about records...I just want to walk off this coaster and have the same incredible reaction I had when I walked off Raptor and MF the first time.
As far as the t-shirt, I wouldn't read too much into it. It's twisted track forming a dragon's skeleton. My first sense is it's just an illustration representing "any" coaster in general...though I hope I am wrong :)
