If anybody has had a good trip on the Iron Dragon or tips to make it more fun please write it here.

Certain rides may NOT be for you...
My tip for you is sit in the back seat even though you dont get a good view you get the most speed.
Yeah the back seat is the best for that ride. Can't think of much else seeing as I hardly ride it.

Welcome back Millennium Force riders...We all want to know how was your RIDE!!!!!
Ride in the back right after it rains.
I once read a book on the ride and it made it much more exciting.
I enjoy the front only for the view. The mayflies on the otherhand.....

They should reconstruct that ride to make it more thrilling. Being that it seems more people ride the Wild Cat should be good enough evidence that it lacks in excitement.
ID is excitting for families, to my little sister and my mom this is the only coaster they are willing to ride. They love the ride! ID is also a gap coasters or even a gateway coasters for young ones to build up their nerves for other coasters. Also if it attracts families they spend more than season pass holders!!

Hey Jake don't diss the Wildcat!!! I love it! Just cause more people ride it than Iron Dragon does not make Iron Dragon crappy. Other things may make Iron Dragon crappy, but that's not one of them!!

Actually I like the front car for the final swing -- watch when the train comes into the final brakes. The front car whips out, then the train immediately hits the brake run. The last car barely moves by the time it gets in there...
I agree with GregLeg. I love the front car for that final swing. I won't ever ride farther back than the 3rd car for the whole swing reasoning. I personally like Iron Dragon a lot. Granted, it's the only suspended I've ever ridden, I just really like the experience and sensation of it. I'm sure it was a bigger deal back in the late-80's when it was new and not quite so relaxing as it is today when compared to the other big rides at the park. It's just nice to be able to ride a decent coaster every once in a while that doesn't reshape your face and rip your hair out. Just like the CCMR, ID fills that gap nicely.
But the rear car swings the most at the brake run. When the front car begins to slow, it already has a good length of straight track to adjust, whereas the rear car is barely out of the last turn and therefore still swinging.

No, not at the final brake run. The last car barely swings in the end. I distinctly remember that. I imagine it's because the first car takes the turn at high speed and builds swinging momentum and the back car kinda crawls through seeing as how the rest of the train has already been braked. (BTW: SFMM's Ninja is a SWEET suspended coaster)
What ride have you been on, man, because it was not the Iron Dragon. The last car DOES swing the most when it enters the final brake run...And Yes the Ninja is sweet, but short...
I don't know, the front car really seems to swing the best on that very last turn.
i had a bad experience on the thing so i dont ride unless dragged on. My shoulder harness came up during the pretzel. not cool.

The front car swings the most violently on the final brake run, but it is the rear car that gets flung and whipped around relentlessly throughout the rest of the ride.

Backstreetgirl I din't say anything bad about WildCat. It just find it interesting how a coaster with less asset value attracts more guests. It's a carnival type ride. Compared to other hanging coasters the Iron Dragon is quite zzzzzzz...lol.. Oh well.
Well Jake, some people may find it boring while others find in entertaining... NOT everyone wants to go on Magnum,Raptor or Mantis. Some people prefer simple rides.
