Iron Dragon operating?

Just wanted to get a quick check from anybody who has been at the Po!nt in the past day or two...

Any major downtime on Iron Dragon?

I'm just checking out a coincidence involving a couple of other parks...

funny you might ask that, this might not be what you're looking for, but on Sunday it was down for quite a while I would guess. I didn't see it the whole time. All I know is that when I got off Raptor and headed for MF I saw the skyride was down (wind) and Iron Dragon (??)
It was running this past Sunday when Dan, and I were shooting video.

What coincidence, Rideman?
Just reports of a couple of other suspended coasters down recently for unspecified problems. I just read this morning that XLR-8 is down and undergoing some major maintenance; Sunday, PKI's Top Gun was down for unspecified reasons and the paths leading back to the ride were all barricaded. Just putting 2 + 2 together and getting 5, that's all...

Sounds like Iron Dragon is just being its usual self.

Hasn't anyone else noticed that Iron Dragon seems a lot faster lately??

I've noticed Iron Dragon seems a lot slower lately.
I imagine it would be tricky to hide something on the Dragon, seeing as it's right alongside MF alley. =)

That said, any other suspendeds down for suspicious reasons?
BBW, etc?
Dragon will be down for awhile if they have to replace the brake pads - something that happens probably once a season. Since the brakes are above the train, brake dust can fall onto riders and can cause burns. Then they all have to be replaced, and it can take awhile, but not usually all day!

I'm surprised they would have to replace brake linings on the coasters mid-season. Surprised, because my understanding is that the material that Cedar Point uses for brake linings is harder than the steel used in the brake fins, meaning they have to replace their brake fins with some regularity...

--Dave Althoff, Jr., who really should not be at all surprised...
Last Wednesday it shut down for about 10 minutes while I was in line. They had to send the whole troup of trains empty after awhile though. Who Knows

A uniform Arrow suspended shutdown would also surprise me because there appear to be a lot of significant differences in the way some of the rides are constructed. ID and Big Bad Wolf, for example, feel totally different from Top Gun.

Was BBF down at all?
