Iron Dragon

What color are they painting Iron Dragon. I couldn't find it in the New for 2004 Topic. Does anyone have any pictures

They're repainting the track red. I've heard rumpors that the supports are going to be painted yellow. Personally, I hope the supports remain grey.

when i saw the first lift half finished they were doing the supports grey, but i have also heard about the yellow supports. oh i hope they keep the supports grey.

From Battery Park it looked to be a yellow tint from that area. It wasn't a clear day though, and may have just been my eyes. I guess we'll see next year.

It is frowned upon? Why would CP possible care if we see pictures of Iron Dragon being painted? Is there some big theme park secrecy in paint colors?

Heck, CP has live cams up right now that, were it not for the crappy weather, we can see things happening at the park.

Rob is totally right here. Cedar Point's Employee Handbook tells employees not to disclose ANY information obtained while working for the company, - it even mentions the internet as one of the violations, which is punishable by termination, so in my current position of reapplying for 2004, would not want to irritate any member of Cedar Point management. If you really want to see pictures of what ID currently looks like i think you should invest in a camera with a telephoto lens and a helicopter ride, but then you run the risk of federal jailtime because as far as i know CP is restricted airspace.

In addition to being a safe distance from towers, there is also a general AGL (above ground level) minimum that all pilots are supposed to follow. Of course it's not strictly enforced (it's impossible in most places), but I'm sure Clevelend center is pretty good about watching traffic around Cedar Point.

I just find it hard to believe the ID will have yellow supports...just doesn't match the theme. I really think the yellow was primer.

I suggest doing a search for coasters that were "supposedly" being painted a non-original color in the past. Also note how many of those rumors were true...

Um just to let you know i have worked the laser light show as a plane spoter and ive talked to the big guys there and the big guys at cp and the air space over cp is restricted its just not enforced too much.

The yellow tint could have only been Dragster's Station or WildCat. It seems it would be silly to paint ID the same color as TTD. They practically overlap eachother by the creek.
