Interesting WWL Fact

First off, I am new to these boards so hello everyone. My name is Adam and I'm from Minster, Ohio, which is about a 3 hour drive to Cedar Point and and hour to Kings Island.

Now to what I was going to say. I don't know if anyone has ever paid attention while standing in line for or riding WWL to notice that just as you leave the station, there is a wall to your left. On this wall is a metal poster that reads, Wooden Shoe Beer. An interesting fact about this sign is that this place actually exsits in my hometown of Minster, Ohio. It actually did used to have a brewery in Minster, but now is a bar and restaurant here, and a very popular one at that. Minster is only about a mile by a mile, with luckly 2500 residents. The first time I ever went to Cedar Point I saw this sign and just was amazed that the number one park in the world would actually have a sign of a place in my hometown. I just thought I would say this to see if anyone else has every noticed this, and now with all this talk about WWL being demolished and what-not, this sign could be all but forgotten in the near future, so I'm hoping to make at least one last trip up there this summer to see if hopefully not for the last time. So I'll stop talking now to read some of these responses and see if any suprise me.

yes, i have noticed that sign over the years. also like the spearhead tobacco one next to it. i was bored in line one day and snapped a picture of them. i went on a search engine and checked out minster. sure enough, i learned about wooden shoe beer. i wonder if it tasted like it was brewed in a wooden shoe. something for me and the other codgers in the retirement community to ponder.

i live at the saint pia zadora golden buckeye retirement community
