It would be better to describe this prototype as being more similar to the Frequent Faller that was supposed to be installed at Hershey. The cars on this ride appear to rotate freely. However, Intamin box track most likely could be for a 4D-type ride if they ever decide to go that route.

I see potential with this design, and I think that a huge, custom-designed 4D would be a great addition to Cedar Point, seeing as they like to introduce rides that are new and different. My only gripe is that I hope the trains are similar to X's, because I do not care for the seats facing in both directions that are in the pictures.

Cedar Point rocks my socks.
I think it looks pretty awesome! It'll be great to have Intamin smoothness and quality in a 4D design. When my partner and I were out in California for a rights rally, we swung by SF:MM and rode X. It was a pretty great ride, but it did have a few problems. The harnesses weren't the most comfy things ever and it was a little rough in places (mostly due to rotation jostling). It'll be neat to see how this thing runs... and who buys the first big one!
Where are the queens at?
According to the text, the spinning motion is random, or at least dictated by the changes in direction. In that sense, it's nothing like Arrow's 4D which controls rotation the entire time.

I don't think the free rotation is a good idea. Amagine being upside down as a drop levels out. Talk about very painful headrush. I think the way that X controls the directions adds a good aspect to the ride. For some reason, I just don't think free movement would be as neat. You might just get a boring ride with little movement sometimes. X guarantees a good thrill.
I also wouldn't expect to see the first Intamin 4th to come to CP. Let alone the first 5. Because of the problems with TTD, I don't think CP will go for an Intamin that hasn't been tweaked yet.

I'm well aware that Cedar point has a great relationship with Intamin. But, I really things Cedar Point is smart not to build the first gigantic ride with a completely new concept.
A 4d like this is probably much more reliable and maintenance friendly that TTD. It won't have the big hydraulic motors and cable launches. A LIM 0-80'ish launched 4d would be amazing.
