Check out the prototype of Intamins version of the 4D coaster.
Scroll to where it says "Intamin."

i like that new huss as well, but the picture of Intamins 4-D coaster that is auctually made looks pretty lame, the layouts of the others look pretty cool though, nor would they take up much space...
Top Thrill Dragster....Always number one
If you scroll down more it shows a single rider suspended coaster, while it is not overly complicated or innovative, the track surronding the trains wheels in the tube looks cool.
It would be better to describe this prototype as being more similar to the Frequent Faller that was supposed to be installed at Hershey. The cars on this ride appear to rotate freely. However, Intamin box track most likely could be for a 4D-type ride if they ever decide to go that route.

That topple tower looks like it would have absolutely awful strain on the base, and the effect doesn't seem worth the risk of making something that has so much being done to a base.

Huss makes great products, I'm sure the stress load on the Topple Tower is calculated for a long lasting and safe ride.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
I think that the Intamin 4D looks like it has a lot of potential. I would also like to see a more interesting layout.
These rides are just prototypes, they're not complete track layouts. I'd be interested to see a complete layout of Intamin's 4-D model... new for 2006 at CP, :) yea right!

I think if Intamin uses some kind of magnetic sustem to rotate the seats on their 4-D, it will be very smooth and a great ride. Hopefully they will make the trains more stylish. I really like the look of X's trains. They're very stylish.

I see potential with this design, and I think that a huge, custom-designed 4D would be a great addition to Cedar Point, seeing as they like to introduce rides that are new and different. My only gripe is that I hope the trains are similar to X's, because I do not care for the seats facing in both directions that are in the pictures.

Cedar Point rocks my socks.
I think it looks pretty awesome! It'll be great to have Intamin smoothness and quality in a 4D design. When my partner and I were out in California for a rights rally, we swung by SF:MM and rode X. It was a pretty great ride, but it did have a few problems. The harnesses weren't the most comfy things ever and it was a little rough in places (mostly due to rotation jostling). It'll be neat to see how this thing runs... and who buys the first big one!
Where are the queens at?
According to the text, the spinning motion is random, or at least dictated by the changes in direction. In that sense, it's nothing like Arrow's 4D which controls rotation the entire time.

A couple people on Cbuzz have done translations. I rather like that idea better than X's controlled direction changes. It'll be similar to a spinning mouse but with flips instead of spins. So the entire ride will be dictated by the weight of the car.

I don't think the free rotation is a good idea. Amagine being upside down as a drop levels out. Talk about very painful headrush. I think the way that X controls the directions adds a good aspect to the ride. For some reason, I just don't think free movement would be as neat. You might just get a boring ride with little movement sometimes. X guarantees a good thrill.
I also wouldn't expect to see the first Intamin 4th to come to CP. Let alone the first 5. Because of the problems with TTD, I don't think CP will go for an Intamin that hasn't been tweaked yet.

You just never know. People think that CP is through with Intamin because of Dragster and the whole MF seat thing. Well, I don't think anyone here has any idea of how good CP's relationship with Intamin is. You're just assuming and you know what happens when you assume.
I'm well aware that Cedar point has a great relationship with Intamin. But, I really things Cedar Point is smart not to build the first gigantic ride with a completely new concept.
A 4d like this is probably much more reliable and maintenance friendly that TTD. It won't have the big hydraulic motors and cable launches. A LIM 0-80'ish launched 4d would be amazing.
