Information on Next Year

I just received information in the mail from Cedar Point on purchasing passes as gifts for Christmas. On the brochure it says that Cedar Point will be open daily from Sunday, May 6 through Labor Day, September 3. This resolves that question someone posted about when Cedar Point would open next year.
Regarding the Joe Cool Club: Joe Cool Club members can "participate in Exclusive Ride Time on Cedar Point's incredible coasters ONLY for Joe Cool Club members; and receive special discounts on merchandise, food and resort accommodations (exact details still undetermined)."
The brochure also says "you shoot and splash along cooling slides..." Does this "shooting" possibly refer to one of those Master Blaster slides that people have talked about in earlier topics? *** This post was edited by Muckmack on 11/30/2000. ***
So we have 2 different opening days now. Well which one is it, Sat. May 5th or Sun. May 6th?
It will close Labor Day?

No it won't completely close on Sept 3rd. CP will just stop daily operation on that day. I believe it's been like that for a while.

I assume that probably the Saturday opening will be a private company that rents the park for the day.... they like to do that at the begining and not in the middle of the season.... because it would suck to come all the way to the point for a vacation to find out the park is closed for a private party!
