If you owned your own park

How would your park be like Cedar Point and how would it differ?

If I owed my own park I would have a plaza like KI's. A marine themed section. Of course a Frontier section. A wild animal exhibit.A traditional section, a second themed to the Archie comics and since Kings Island doesn't use them anymore I would have a themed section to the Hanna Barbara characters and of cousre a new version of the classic Enchanted Voyage.

I would have many coasters. I would have a suspended coaster with a pirate theme. A hyper and a giga coaster some family coasters. At least 3 woodies plus a family woodie. I would try to buy as many B&M coasters as a could especially a floorless and an invert.

I would like to have an Schwarzkopf shuttle coaster like the Tidal Wave that used to be at Great America[ now in KY} and a coaster with interlocking loops like the Loch Ness Monster.

I would have plenty of circulars and other rides. A log flume that would NEVER be removed. I would have a huge giant Ferris wheel in the center of the park and have as many classic rides as possible and especially a Sky Wheel.

I would construct a roller coaster that climbed all the way to the top of the lift, and then would stop. There would be a coin slot between each pair of seats, requiring 1 quarter to be deposited per row (there would be pressure sensors in the seats, so if a row went empty it would bypass it), before the lift motor would start back up. :-D

The best part is, I'd put up some tinny horn speakers, and play repeatedly "please insert coins to continue... please insert coins to continue". It would be wonderful. :)

I would put in a subway, and charge people $20 for a sub combo.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I'd sell it, and blow the money on a Jet.

I'd shut it down and use part of the profits to buy a bunch of tin foil stock.

If I owned my own park, I would make it the way Cedar Point used to be when I was younger. I would open the picnic area up so people could actually enter the park through them. I would have a Pirate Ride, Jumbo Jet, Eathquake and a few of the other rides that were taken out. Anyone rember the Rotor?

Trent,
I am with you... Don't get me wrong I really like CP, however CP has lost some of it's magic giving way to profits... We have lost some classics like the Jumbo Jet, Pirate Ride and Earthquake. If you would like to visit a smaller park like Indiana Beach or Waldameer you might find some of that classic magic that is missing at CP. Yes bring back the Jumbo Jet!

Kindest Regards,

Jerry

I would keep my food prices reasonable for everyone to afford. Along with admission prices.

Fail. You'd never make any money that way. I think my coin-op hyper coaster is the way to go.

While you're at it Josh, make them pay to get in the line, to get through the turnstiles and to close the restraint. You'd be RACKIN in the dough!

I thought about that, but then people would just avoid the ride. It's all about the element of surprise.

So everyone but me has a quarter... what happens now?

^^Ahh, yes yes. Then give them a time slot for how long their restraint stays open......kinda like a parking meter.

^^ The train is stopped. You are removed down the stairs and the train continues. When you get to the bottom of the stairs you are charged $50 fee for holding up the train and then let go.

Hoping to one day build these great machines that we affectionatly call "Coasters"

Someone has to lend you one, or the train doesn't move. :)

If I owned my own park, none of you yahoos would be allowed in. It would be my own private park ala Richie Rich (although Iron Wolf would not be my coaster.)
