If you could... Part II

I think they should bring back the Pirate Ride. Also get some new trains for Mean Streak.
For their next coaster I think it should be a sit down looper with like 10 inversions.
Cedar Point needs a new water ride to.
Raptor doesnt need to be painted it just needs all the bird crap washed off.
There shouldn't be anything wrong with that unless the kids are too young. Most kids can handle being off on their own w/o causing too much trouble. What a better idea too to just get dropped off at Kennywood to stay all day most of the summer. Sounds like fun!

Trim brakes-a necessity???
To buy a general admission pass at Kennywood, you have to be 21 years of age or older. That discourages the people who want to spend time at Kennywood just "hanging out" like they would at the mall.

Let's consider this: If there would have been a general admission pass system at CP, my Dad would have bought it. So there he is, in the park, just taking up space... for about the first three minutes. Then, he'd head right for the nearest refreshment stand and get a Diet Coke. Chances are he'd have a Coke in his hand 90% of the day. Not to mention all the snacks, meals, and other goodies he'd buy during the day.

If Dad rode nothing other than things like the Sky Ride and CP&LE Railroad, he would have been basically pure profit for Cedar Point for the day.

If my friends wanted to go to CP just to hang out,
I'd ditch them!:)

Magnum-Just Ride It!!!
Woah, I never expected such a debate! CP4Ever, I don't think this is off topic, I just explained what I would do if I could. I think it would be nice and draw more people to CP! I mean we have to think of it like this: If you are a non-rider, why go to a park like CP for $38 when you could go to a much larger park with more themeing like Disney?

CP has that sense of a gated community. You are in the elight of all elight when you enter the park. You payed your $38 and like hell if you are going to waste it to start trouble!

The Six Flags season pass price point is half the problem with their parks. First off, it doesn't generate the revenue it could because the people who use them most, teens and kids being dropped off for babysitting, don't have the disposable income to buy an $8 Mr. Hero combo. The result is crowded parks with bored kids, not to mention insufficient staff to actually run the park effectively (I don't buy the workforce shortage). I found this to be true at both SFO and SFA.

While CP and Kennywood are both traditional amusement parks, the PO!NT is much more similar in size and scope to the Busch, Universal, and Disney properties. The senior management at these parks have obviously decided that the number of non-riders that are discouraged from coming by the regular gate price isn't enough to make it worth the cost of administering a "general admission" ticket. It's just too expensive and inconvenient to identify the status of 20 to 50 thousand people at every ride in the park.

Joe has a good point about the trees. More would be nice.

Replace the cotton woods with Cedar trees. They made it "snow" late May and early June. My friend could barely breathe, because his allergy was acting up.
For the people who mentioned the painting of rides. It will be Raptor for next year, Mantis the year after that then Magnum after Mantis.

About time! Personally I think that Mantis need it the most, then Magnum, and then Raptor.
Jeff- about the Six Flags & kids,

I am a kid, but I am a Coaster freak kid. If passes went up, I would still buy one. I have a CP and SFO pass, SFO being less than 10 minutes from my home, I frequent almost daily. So do many kids I know. BUT, they go and 'hang out' while I go and ride my butt off.
Meaning, if passes were $100, I would still get one, but my friends wouldn't, meaning a park not as crowded, but a profit still made.
I think Magnum NEEDS the paint, Its not red anymore, its like a orange color. Mantis isn't that bad.

Gravity knows no force like Millennium Force!
Why are we debating over something that really isn't much of an issue? Cedar Point is, and will be, an amusement park, which means that everyone will be amused in some way. Whether it should be Live E, Shopping ;), Walking around, or just looking at the lake, everyone can find something to do. In reality, if there were enough complaints (i.e. t2r), Cedar Point would do something. Right now, I really don't see non-riders as an issue. (I doubt it will ever be). Cedar Point has never forced people to come to the park. :)
