If Wooden Happens...

If a new Woodie goes up for 2001 or 2002 season, who thinks it's name should be _____ Streak? They already got Blue, and Mean, why not another? They should keep with tradition and name all their woodies Streaks. Anybody else?

What if they just called it "THE Streak: A Nekkid Coaster"??? hahaha, just couldn't resist, nevermind my sick and twisted mind...I've been working too many hours =)

I don't knwo where I read this... probably thrill ride, but some one said "Fire Streak" and at night it would light up w/ red, orange, and yellow lights. I enjoy the name and idea, but w/ CP's lighting it will slowly diminish in a few years.

I heard the "Fire Streak" rumour as well, but the explanation of the ride itself made the whole thing so far-fetched that I totally threw out the possibility of something like that happening.

I think the "Streak" series should be kept alive with the next wooden coaster at CP.

ILuvCP, what do you mean by "Wolverine"? "Wolverine Streak" or just the single word? And also, why in Ohio? How about the "Erie Streak", "Sandusky Streak", "Buckeye Streak", "Better-Roads-Than-PA Streak", or "Mud Hens' Streak"? (I know the last one isn't Sandusky-ish, but hell, that's a great name!)

Lastly, I still crack up at the idea of naming it "Roller Coaster 15". Whoever came up with that, God bless you, you done real good.

How about Cyclong Streak, Leap the Dips Streak, Racer Streak, or Leap Frog Streak in honor of some of Cedar Point's dearly departed coasters. (not positive if I'm right with all of these names, but I think that I saw them all in the history of Cedar Point story on their web site.)

Side note - since the only streak the Mud Hens ever have is a losing streak, maybe it's best to err on the side of caution and not use that one.

I'm not in favor of _______ Streak. I've yet to read of a new name I like with "Streak" in it. I always thought a good name for a new woodie would be Phantom Rider...playing off Ghost Rider of course.
