If a new ride happens.

If CP gets a new flat ride for next seson, what kind do you want it to be?

Personaly I kinda want an AERO 360, like at Kennywood. It't my second favorite flat ride next to Chaos.

Here is a short list of flatrides that I would love to see:

Top Scan (my favorite!)
Frisbee
Tampico Tumbler (I dont know the model name, but its @ KBF)
Aero 360
Zipper (redesigned to get rid of the carnival "cheese"
Bring back the Rotor!

Disaster Transport '97 Crew
Iron Dragon '98 Crew
I'd like to see a longer sky ride or something along that line. I'm not a big whirl and hurl fan....Maybe 2002..

Get with it or die in the process.....
That one at SFO that used to be called The Mirage, it's now called the El Dorado...only bigger.
Zipper all the way!
There should be a Skyscraper at Ceadar Point, although it would probably be un-practical since they only hold 4 riders at a time.
They should build a Chance Mixer.

You build it, I ride it
I would like to see some old classics. perhaps a Whip. A dark ride would be a nice addition too.
First of all, Randy, the Mixer is a Zamperla ride. And second, personally, I don't happen to like it anyway. It seems that several manufacturers are now specializing in building rides that aren't a whole lot of fun, like the Chance Inverter and the Zamperla Mixer and (so I have heard) the Chance Aviator...

gio367 - CP does already have a skyscraper ride. It's over in Challenge Park, and it's called Ripcord.

Is there a source or several sources that list various rides and explains exactly what they do, maybe even a picture of it. I hear about all these rides and usually have no idea what it is.
This site and CPVM (Cedar Point Virtual Midway) seems to have the best photos of virtually everything in the park.

Actually, I meant rides in general. I am pretty familar as to what CP offers. I would like to know what it is when I hear somebody say "I want them to put in a Chance Mixer" (Rideman's comments noted)
No, Seven-of-9, the Skyscraper and the Skycoaster (RipCord) are different rides. Skycoaster is like a giant swing set. Skyscraper is like a simplified Ferris wheel. Picture a boom 160' long with a pair of seats at each end. This thing turns at a leisurely 10 RPM. Now, with a radius of 80 feet, that's a circumference of 502 feet, multiplied by 10 RPM, that's 5,026 feet/minute which is 84 ft/sec which is not too far off from 60 MPH!

As for the ride descriptions...This is why I offered the correction on the manufacturer of the Mixer: Many of the manufacturers have web sites (for instance, Chance is http://www.rides.com ) where you can see what they have to offer, and usually find photos and descriptions. I've toyed with the idea of putting together some kind of a carnival ride field guide and putting it on my web page, but I've been too busy with other stuff...

I think I've seen a Skyscraper or two on television, but never seen one in person. The cars at the ends are free to move, aren't they? So you'll be spinning head over heels while rotating like a Ferris wheel. Does my description match what a Skyscraper actually is?

That's the one! :)

Thrillride.com has great reviews on Skyscraper and the Old Town Skycoaster in the ride reviews section.

I like to see a long fast whip ride. I Love the one at Idle Wild.
