I-X center amusement park

This coming sunday is the final day for the i-x center amusement park.

I am planning to go. Has anybody gone this year and what is your

opinion of the park?

I thought this was a website about Cedar Point

You got that right Mikey. If you would like to discuss other parks it can be done here.

Even though isn't the problem place to discuss this (according to some people anyway ;)), I took the wife and kids there last year. It was fairly nice considering what it is. My advice is to get there as soon as possible, right at opening if possible. Once it got later in the day the lines became quite long. They even have a spinning wild mouse coaster in there!

No, Jeff is annoyed by noise, which you're also making.

I had no idea they had a spinning wild mouse. Is it a Reverchon? Does anyone else even make one?

I went there 2 years in a row, including this year on opening day. If any of you are going, my advice is to try the Freakout ride. This mini-Maxair swinging ride is a blast!! :)

That looks like fun, too bad it's 5-6 hours away. I've seen stuff like that advertised in Michigan too, usually at the Deltaplex (GR) or Gibraltar Trade Center (Det). Never really felt like going though because the genius' in Michigan always seem to hold them in summer, when people would rather be outside.

I'm pretty sure it's a Reverchon, similar (but I don't think identical) to the layout at Del Grossos.

Scroll down on the link to see some pix of it:

Yep, definitely a Reverchon. Like I said, I don't know that anyone else makes one. If I weren't planning to go to Kennywood soon (and Disney later this year) I'd totally go just for that ride.

They actually have 4 coasters this year, 5 if you want to count the G-Force ride. I have pictures of when i went on Flickr. http://flickr.com/photos/24533549@N04/

That's the same coaster I saw heading north on I-77 a few weeks back while I was on my way south to North Carolina. I did a IMDB search to find out who either lost or was gaining a "crazy mouse" this year, but to no avail. Makes sense now that it was heading to the IX Center. Can anybody confirm where this "amusement park" was before coming to Cleveland this year?

Its just a traveling carnival thats set up inside a very large building.

There are actually more than one carnival company involved. I talked to one of the carnies when I took my daughter there weekend before last. I asked him where they were before this set-up, but I couldn't hear him very well (it was louder than a cat fight in a pillow case inside the place). He did say that after this they're going to Indiana -- either Gary or Muncie (I don't remember which). Later on one company is going to Louisiana, and the other one is heading somewhere else.

In case you're wondering, the spinning mouse coaster takes 16 hours to assemble. With one crane. I asked.

I don't really have a lot of confidence in traveling rides either. I had a scary ass experience at the Ashland County Fair while in college. I have the video we shot somewhere. I gotta dig that out...

I went this year with my 8 and 3 year olds and had a lot of fun. The giant slide was a flashback to my younger days at CP and both of my kids loved it. The only problem I had was after about 3 hours the place got busier and the noise in there really got to me. Make sure to take some alieve or excedrine if you are planning to go in the future (or maybe have a few beers).

Just out of curiousity, what sort of coasters does IX Center amusement park feature?

As far as I remember they had the one wild mouse and then 3 kiddie coasters. Two of the kiddie's where the oval style with the electric tire motors that drove them and the third actually had a chain lift and reminded me of the Jr Gemini.
