I was almost Fabio today.

On Sunday, 09/16, we rode the awesome Raptor which seemed to become a predator like it's name implies.

After the loop, we collided with an unlucky seagull and it got wedged on the top of the train. I saw the unlucky gull begin to slide free and the thought that ran through my head was, "this happened to Fabio!" and feared the mess that was on its way to me.

Fortunately, the Raptor began its barrel rolls and the bird fell just a couple feet away from us, but left us with a few feathers, and bird mess on my clothes. Fortunately the exposure was minimal, but quite an experience.

The ops said it happens quite frequently. Anyone have this much luck?

My mom was playing mini golf and she was pecked in the head by a bird. All my mom was doing was standing watching my sister finish up her hole and whak, and the bird just kept flying.
Getting dumped on by a bird is very common (my husband got dumped on the Sunday before Labor Day). But I've never had the "pleasure" of getting hit by a bird while riding a coaster.

Bird are a big problem in cedar point...they're every where....cedar point should use what airports use to get rid of birds.

What? So they crap on stuff once in awhile. The park is next to one of the Great Lakes. It's nature. They were there first.

Isn't the real answer here to just paint everything in the park white? The birds think so :)

While riding Gemini, entering the second turn-around, a bird took it's aim and "bombs away" right on my arm. I swear he must have be leading the train to get me ;) . Whats even more funny is the same day my cousin got a gem from another bird while standing in line for Magnum. DOWN WITH THE BIRDS!!! ;)

I was waiting for Magnum just before the stairs. I saw a seagull flying overhead and thought to myself: "He's gonna do it". And what do you know? The bird did, and it landed on a guy just infront of me in line.

Regular birds are not bad... just seagulls. Its always amazing to look at roofs when on the Sky Ride. So much... so much.

Seagulls are the only birds I have ever seen do that while in flight. Almost all other birds wait until they land somewhere.

On a front row ride on raptor with some crew members of mine this summer, a nearly unlucky seagull almost flew into us square in the face coming out of the cobra roll. I think it's wing just grazed the hand of the guy next to me.

Earlier in the season, I noticed "spikes" on all the lightposts, ledges, etc. over by WT / the games area. I assume these are to keep birds from perching?

While walking through Frontier Trail...my daughter got her BOTTOM LIP plastered. I saw it happen. She didn't know what it was until I told her and she ran all the way to the nearest drinking fountain to spit a few hundred times! Then back through Frontier Town she was still spitting every few feet! hahaha

I remember seeing some seagull trying to build a nest on the Mantis track opening day. Everytime a train came by, it would fly a few feet off where it was sitting on the track, and then go back to work.

Proud to be on the train when ST Kara took her 1,000 lap on Shivering Timbers.

I dont mind the bird poop. Its part of nature. I just figured the birds would be bright enough to realize where the danger areas are. I guess I gave them too much credit.

I certainly was not wanting to get the bird's guts all over me after it struck the front of the train.

The spikes are to keep the birds away, but they really dont work all that well. Pigeons seem to care less.

------------------Usually Brent birds poop on takeoff. But enough with the science! I've seen an MF train taken off and cleaned up because of a bird.

I think if birds are dumb enough to try to build nest on track, and fly into the path of trains...that's part of Darwin's Theory at work.
