I need some Ride Warrior advice!?!?

Okay, I'm a 13 year old girl and I really want to ride Millennium Force, Magnum XL-200, Wicked Twister, Top Thrill Dragster, Max-Air, Skyhawk, aand Power Tower but I'm not sure if I'll like it or not. I've ridden everything except these rides (with the exception of baby rides) I need some ride warrior advice. Can you rate the rides on Airtime, Intensity, and how old were you when your first rode it? BTW: I like airtime but in moderation (not too much). I love love LOVE spinning! Heights don't bother me too much and speed doesn't bother me either.

Just try them. If you don't like them you don't have to ride them ever again.

I was the same way when I was your age - I started riding them all when I was 13. I was surprised by how much I loved them. It's the best decision I've ever made.

What's the worst that can happen if you ride them? Worst case scenario is you don't like them, which is unlikely. Have you ever known anyone to regret their decision to ride them?

When I first decided that I wanted to ride everything, I started at the bottom and worked my way up. Ride Wicked Twister before you ride Top Thrill. They both have the boost and similar tracks.

You've got nothing to lose. Wouldn't you rather say you have the guts to ride them? You should go for it : )

Millennium is going to give you great speed with a few floater air moments and a very smooth ride.

Magnum is going to give you good speed with many ejector air moments with a mostly smooth ride. The 3rd row of the front car is considered the "ejector seat" and is the most intense spot to sit.

Top Thrill is pure speed with intense acceleration and speed. The airtime over the top varies depending on the speed of the launch and other various conditions. It is a very smooth ride as well.

maXair is going to be one of those rides that everyone experiences a bit differently. But, I feel (although it does spin) it's not really a typical spinning ride. The rotation is more there to give you a varying experience compared to a straight swing like Skyhawk. Both of them have good airtime. But maXair's can fluctuate depending on where in the spin cycle you are. Both are smooth. Some people find maXair to be more disorienting. On Skyhawk, I like to sit on the side facing away from the midway so when you swing back, you are looking at the people down on the midway. This is a good way for people to get a picture of you on the ride while it's in motion as well. Additionally, when Skyhawk reaches the peak of it's swing, you can actually tilt your head up and get a good look at the park upside down. There are slight differences in the number of air time moments you have depending on which arm and which side you sit. I'm not sure which is best.

I feel Power Tower Drop side has better air than shot side. Drop side you get a nice amount of time to look around the park where as shot side, your only up there briefly.

Wicked Twister has different things to like about different seats. I either sit in the front row (either seat) or the 2nd last row in the right seat. Usually the latter. In the front row depending on wind conditions, your more prone to getting sand in your face. You go forward three times where as you only go backward twice. But, I like the aspect of not being able to see the top of the spike when your sitting in the back. Plus in the seat I mentioned, the cars in front of you rotate out of your field of vision and you are as high as you can be while also looking straight down at the ground. The acceleration and speed are pretty good. It continues to get faster until the last pass through the station. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. But, I believe the 2nd reverse launch is the highest the train gets.

And if you need any words of encouragement, CedarPointTaylor, on riding Dragster (given that it's the ride most first timers seem to be the most nervous about), I can assure you that it's one of the most exhilarating coaster experiences out there. It was the ride that drew me into becoming a coaster nerd and I'm one of it's biggest fans. I had a friend of mine who was deathly afraid of riding it and I managed to get him to ride. Needless to say he loved it and regretted putting it off for so long.

Another thing about Dragster is that when people say its over before you even realize your 400 feet in the air, it really is over before you know it. I remember the first time I rode it, it's the fastest 17 seconds of your life.

At 13 I was the same exacy way. I was deathly afraid of Magnum (it was the biggest coaster CP had back then) and wouldnt go on it for two summers. When I finally did I never wanted to get off! If I had to suggest a ride lineup from what you provided I'd go...Power Tower, Max-Air, Wicked Twister, Millennium Force, Skyhawk, Magnum XL-200, and Top Thrill Dragster. I think Skyhawk is the scariest on the list because the restraints let you loose a big and it can be a bit unnerving if you dont hold on tight (which by the way, there isnt a real good spot to do that with).

I was terrified of coasters(not saying you are haha) until my friend got me on Millennium, front row(highly recommended for first time). That same day I rode all of the rides you mentioned, besides PT which I finally rode this prior season. Needless to say, I had a blast and could not believe I was afraid of such fun. I regretted not going on those rides in previous visits, but now am excited to know how awesome they really are. My advice to you is to just give it a shot. Trust me, you'll be glad you did.

Magnum was my first coaster ever and I think it was a great choice, I was scared but did it and loved it. Break the ice with that one face it head on and if you can handel Magnum you can handel anything!

I personally did Dragster before Millennium. Although Dragster is taller, I was more comfortable with it because it was over faster.

With riding Dragster, as others have said, it's over before you know it. The worst part of Dragster is the wait, so if your nervous, ride in the first train so you don't have to wait very long for the launch. If you can make it past the wait you're golden.

Worst case scenario: You die in a horrific 1-in-a-million chance rollercoaster crash.
Best case scenario: You love it and won't want to stop.

I assume you've ridden Raptor and Maverick? These are the most intense coasters in the park. Everything else is more tame aside from maybe Magnum. Since you say you like air time in moderation, Magnum is probably not for you. It's like you're being yanked up out of the train over every hill in the 2nd half.

The first coaster I rode at CP was Dragster, and after I rode it, I had no fear of anything else. It basically cleared all fear I've ever had of any types of rides.

Yes. And there is a chance I won mega millions a few weeks ago.

My age at the time that I rode these rides won't help you, but I can share how old my daughter was when she rode them for the first time.

She was 6 when she rode Magnum, Millennium and Skyhawk and loved them all. She was a little nervous before riding Millie but absolutely loved it and wanted to get right back on.

Age 9 she was tall enough for maXair, Power Tower, Dragster and Wicked Twister. Walked right on WT and maXair (she had previously ridden Delirium at Kings Island earlier in the year), no questions asked. The nerves returned for Dragster (we actually didn't think we were going to get her on it) but she rode it and loved it. Went right back on. She rides Power Tower but it doesn't really excite her.

Jason explained the rides that I don't need to repeat all that. Needless to say, my daughter will ride anything now. Give them a try. If you don't like them, you don't have to ride them again. That's always been our "rule" with our daughter.
