I am shocked.............

I was shocked to find that SFWOA but in the new Starfish ride (well not new, a typical SF used ride) in the kiddie section. I was reading somewhere that it was originaly from SFMW and had 2 accidents in one year where both accidents involved people being EJECTED FROM THE RIDE WHILE IN MOTION! First was a 40 year old woman being ejected while riding with her kids. The ride was reopened a few months later.

And......you guessed it! A few months later a another ejection!! This time it was a 4 year old girl riding with her mother. She was ejected about 12 feet into the air while the ride was in motion and LANDED ON HER HEAD! She suffered a concussion, several broken bones and a ruptured spleen. Well....SFMW at first told the state of California that they would scrap the ride......but instead they shipped it accross the country to SFWOA. Now, I see this as disguisting and one of the most idiotic moves i have ever seen. BUT THERES MORE! It was found that the operators at SFMW did not see that the little girl was sitting on the outside of the ride when she should have been sitting closer to the inside. BUT... I was reading a post where a father went on this new ride with his 5 year old son sitting on the outside and was surprised that no on at SFWOA said anything! I see this as a nother accident waiting to happen. By the way the 40 year old woman is suing SF and just wait until she finds out that the ride that injured her and almost killed her is operating at another SF park! And from the pictures i have seen, the exact same look colors and themimg, nothing was even changed for anything.

That doesn't really suprise me. If I remember correctly SFWOA's Intamin First Generation Freefall is in the same boat...got used at another SF park where an accident occured so they shipped it to SFWOA.

Regardless, if what you say is true about this "new" ride, they should be extra careful.
