I have been excited all year about a 4 day trip I have planned...but I am starting to realize that I may not be able to go on some things like MaXair. Is this true? Will I be able to make it on MF and TTD? I mean I know they have the minimum height stick at the ride's entrance but do they check for maximum heights too? Thanks and hopefully there is good news in store for me :( *** Edited 4/6/2005 8:37:56 PM UTC by Emohnke***
maXair, Raptor and Wicked Twister are the only ones you might have troubles with, but most likely won't with any of them. We have yet to see if maXair will have a maximum height, so we can't tell you if you'll have problems on that or not.
ok I see what you are saying. I go on Vertical Velocity at SFGAm and they don't say anything, however the restraints begin to hurt my shoulder blades a tad after a few consecutive rides on it. I still love it though!!
Well you my not be able to ride a Deja Vu, but I doubt that CP will give you toom much trouble. The problem with MF is if you are wide with large thighs/butt. If you are in fair shape, you should be fine.
At the turn of the Millennium, there were signs. Was the something out there?... A mysterious force at work? Beyond words. Beyond comprehension. Beyond, beyond beyond… A natural force simply known as, Millennium Force. The future is riding on it.…
My dad is 6' 4" and he's not the skinnest person in the world either, and he fits fine and ride everything fine. So you should be alright.

I'm 6'5" and at the time last year was about 225. I fit on everything just fine.
If Cedar Point goes with the height restriction of 6'4" like PKI has, he should just make it. He may even be able to take his shoes off since PKI let's you, but with CP's policies they probably won't. At Kings Island they have metal boxes inside the ride area for you to put your belongings while riding.
The only ride at CP that has a maXheight this season will probably be maXair.
AFAIK there's no maXheight on any other ride.
Wicked Twister may be iffy, but if you've done V2, you'll be okay with WT.
mantis will be uncomfortable, but as said you will fit, just dont leave your hands up on the mine ride ...yeah
Also may have a problem getting on witches wheel as well.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Michael Darling:
For MaXair, are you basing your statement on knowledge that hasn't been made public yet, or are you speculating based on Delerium's restriction (or other)?
Purely speculating due to the requirements on Delirium. I assume that it's a manufacturer suggestion, not a park rule.
Sorry if I didn't make that more clear.
My brother is 6'3. Some shoulder harnesses are a bit tight, so he just doesn't sit straight up. We heard you can do Mantis comfortably until you are 6'5, although my brothers shoulders show different.
Remember, there are test seats at all entrances (except Mantis) so try those first to get an idea. Not sure if MaxAir will have a test seat or not.

Acutally I go on the orbit at SFGAm quite a bit, and it is basically the same exact ride. A little tight, but it works.
If the height restriction on maXair is because of the closeness of the ground to the feet. Why doesn't Cedar Point just lower the ground to another foot lower. Then have metal platforms that rise to allow people to get on, and once they are strapped in, the platform lowers to the ground level.
