Hurricane Hanna's?

Is this place ever actually open? Never been and never seem to see anyone actually eating/drinking there...

What is even served there?

You would think as a front entrance attraction it would be popular?

I believe it was open Thursday. I didn't take a good look at it but I'm pretty sure it was open around 5.

But ya it has always seemed odd to me. The theme is very strange as soon as you come in and it doesn't really look like a good place to eat, I forgot it even existed until recently.

That place started out in 1970 as the Hofbrau and served German style food. The covered former picnic areas to the left and right were enclosed somewhat and were given a beer hall environment. It was pretty popular, people would occupy tables in the evening, drink, and listen to music.

Hurricane Hanna's was one of the few re-do's since then, and IIRC, that name and theme somehow had ties to Geauga. Last I checked they had things like chicken strips and stuff like that, nothing special. I've seen a few people there in the past, but I think for front gate area food choices that Pinks and even Bayou get more business. If that building is slated for remodeling into something else then maybe it's going to go away or change again.

Also, it is not listed on the CP website Dining locations.

If it is to go, I sure wouldn't miss it.

A lot of places aren't listed on the dining page.

I've never heard of it and can't even picture what this place looks like. Where is it exactly?

It is the first building on the left when you walk in the front gate.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

It opens after lunch. I think the main purpose is to provide a place to grab a beer for those arriving later in the day.

The other walk up food stands have begun selling beer and ciders as well, oddly only til 9:00pm.
But that may be just another reason to not need Hannah's around with duplication of service and no real stand out food item of its own.

They used to have a really good Carribean Chicken Wrap at Hanna's, but that went missing last year I think.

It looked like Hurricane Hanna's was open all day yesterday.

It was open today at 11:35 when I walked by. About a dozen people in line.

Hurricane Harbor is the Six Flags water park theme. Cedar Fair quickly re-did all the signage to the generic Hurricane Hannah's at the last minute when they bought Geuaga Lake. Cedar Fair just reused this old Six Flags theming at Cedar Point when they closed down that water park, name and all (the sign in front of the restaurant used to be next to the Sky Tower at Geuaga Lake). This, along with the Looney Tunes rides and Superman lamp posts in Planet Snoopy make me sad.

It was open on Sunday when I arrived around 11AM.
