How's she runnin now?

No one has really been talkin about this lately and I'm about to go up two times in a row so I would like to know how she is now.

Thanks

It was a bit rougher than usual about 3 weeks ago, but still fun.
Still the best coaster in the park :)
Yeah Cody, I talked to someone a while back about her trip to the point. She goes maybe once a year and said it felt rough compared to the previous rides.

The lateral movement really varies from train to train and car to car. Some cars are really smooth while others feel like the car is fishtailing. You can feel it best if you sit in the back of the cars over the wheels. I sat in 5-2 red Friday night and I have never felt so much play in the ride. Other than that I'd say it's running good, as in fast. Plenty of air over the island hills.

Also I am beginning to hear the squeaks coming back again.

It seems a lot squeakier and not as smooth as when it first opened, but it is still a great ride.

The airtime in the front seats is awesome.

Yah, I always ride in the front seat. Is it rough there too? Because i'm taking someone new to the Force up with me and I want it to be an enjoyable ride for him.

It's npt rough at all. In fact a first time rider wouldn't even notice it. The seasoned rider will notice a slight bit of slop thats all.

It was running crazy as ever friday night. Our ride in the pouring rain was insane and painful but it was a good pain ;)

Welcome back Magnum riders how was your ride?

I agree, having been on MF many times allows you to pick up on minor changes. I don't think it is rough at all and a first time rider wouldnt notice it.

Front seats for airtime is a definite for the first time rider.

You guys are all cry babies, MF is the smoothest ride in the park. Stop complaining :)

If you look at Millennium Force's wheels, the main wheels are about completely concaved. I hope they get replaced over the winter tear n test. The side friction, and the upstops have been replaced several times during this season, so they are ever changing. but the main wheels are the same as they were when the season started.

For how she's running, there's more slop than in the begining of the year, as well as more viberation. Other than the slight changes, she's running smooth, and fast :)

I've kind of turned into a back car junkie this season, so I attributed any "slop" to that fact. I agree with you all, she is running extremely fast these days. The last few rides I've had were outrageously good.

I'm proud to say that this season I'm going to get my one hundredth ride! I was worried because the lack of "Millennium/Monsoon Mania" this year, but I'm well on my way with 93 laps under my belt and many more "Halloweekends" to go....yes! I will be buying that onride photo, hope it's a good one!

Last time i was there it felt great, especially front seat. Im hoping its that good when i go again.

Welcome to the Magnum XL-200, the coaster featured most on the Discovery Channel.

Red train is the most squeakiest....i think yellow is the smoothest....since the last time i been there...yellow ran the best, Red was fast but queaky....blue was fine too.

Just make sure you try and avoid the blue train. That one is really sucking right now, as with the begining of the year. Last Friday I rode it 3 times in a row in the same seat, but different trains. Yellow and Red I was ejected over the hills but with blue I hardly ever left the seat. Later when blue warmed up it was alright but red and yellow are the way to go :).

I suppose rough would be a bad way to describe it, maybe unpleasant but not rough. It's like doing 80 down the highway but with a bad alignment. Also the extreme shifting is only in a few seats.

The front seat is probably the most stable because it's the only one that has wheels on the front and back of the car. The others are just hitched to the back of the next car. The front almost guarantees a decent ride unless it raining or they are serving protein that night.

I agree with everything you said Joe E. I can really feel the "slowness" in the blue train. I can see the difference in speed as it makes the final turn while I'm standing in line, versus red or yellow. It just doesn't have that extra "oomph", in my opinion. Red all the way! I'm still smiling after reading your "protein" comment. I've had more than a few shirts "decorated" during my last ride of the evening this year.
I think there is a huge difference between the blue train than the red and yello train.

In the last few weeks, I've noticed red is very sloppy and squeaks a lot, but it is still better than blue because it is faster. I haven't rode yellow in a while, but the last time I rode it, it was better than the other two. I hope they do a better job with the rebuilding of the trains this winter than they did last year.

Let's ride the "Sky Ride Sponsored By The Ohio Lottery Odds Are You'll Have Fun" Ride!

There is not as smooth of a ride in general at all this year, but there is definitely some more vibration in the structure that is felt when riding it. Showing signs of not being new anymore.
