There is more threads on this topic then we can probally count. Anyway from what I hear it is running exceptionally well this year in comparision to past years, so have fun.

Broken, Fixed, Given up, Thrown Away "nine inch nails"

After reading his introductory post to the thread, why does it not surprise me that the only punctuation mark he could seem to find for the title was the exclamation point?

I sometimes wonder how people can stand using a broken keyboard. It would drive me nuts if half the keys on mine didn't work.

speedfreak,
Dragster has been running very well, dont worry. Just remember to wait out any down time that Dragster may experience. For it could be very short wait.
I've seen too many people get fed up and leave for a 5 min breakdown. :)

I went on the 31st and it broke down quite a bit. It first opened for 5 minutes around 10:15, then went down for 30 minutes, then went back up for an hour or so, then down again. It worked pretty well though after that.

I've noticed that it's sometimes like that..... in the morning I mean.

first of all I am a she not a he. And of course like all message boards we have people like you and your other little friend that must critisize on peoples post. Im sorry but I don't pay to much attention to what and how i type, grammar wise. I have much more to think about and do then to try to seem to impress you with my typing skills. I did get the point across didn't I. Get a life.

Typing skills may lead to financial success in real life.

It doesn't really take much thought to put a comma here, or say to put a period here. Maybe it's just me, but typing grammatically correct (usually) is just second nature for me.

TTD like all other rides at CP are due for downtime from time to time. In the past TTD had an excessive amount of downtime due to operating such advanced and complicated mechanical systems to launch trains to a top speed of 120mph every 40 to 60 seconds. The 2005 season has been showing us TTD ethusiast light at the end of the tunnel that we've been seeking for since opening day 2003.

And there you have it, a reply from a very passionate Top Thrill Dragster "fanboy". :)

Well I'm not. I have never seen a ride breakdown more than Dragster. Especially for it to be a new ride, it is just disappointing after two years of it being in operation. Maybe I just went on a bad day.

You should go visit a park with a Deja Vu installation.

"Especially for it to be a new ride"
That's why it breaks down allot, because it is... it was new. It was the second hydraulic launch coaster built after Xcelerator. And for them to have implemented the technology into a coaster as tall as Dragster was one of the main reasons why it didn’t work at 100% the first 2 years. But I can say that this year has been very different for Dragster. So yes, you must have gone on a bad day. It will have its bad days.....no matter what....they just aren’t as frequent as last year or the year before that.

Look at the bright side, we haven’t seen a cable break yet.....right? And the hydraulics are working fine. I think we can blame this years minor problems to the technical hardware(computer, block breaks, etc).

I can understand the new technology reason, but I don't know if I would want to invest in something as troublesome as Dragster. I wonder if this newer one is going to suffer from the same problems.

"I wonder if this newer one is going to suffer from the same problems."

Are you referring to Kingda Ka? Because if you are the answer is YES! It had that big accident in June and, from what I've heard, is still having major problems. It will probably be a while before it runs as well as Dragster has been this year (depending on your point of view).
But I have heard that the waits haven’t been all too bad for it. Although I think that's because people are too scared to ride it. ;)

-Adam G- The OG Dragster nut

TTD 120mph, The cable isn't breaking because of the fact they are using a better cable.

101 on Magnum and counting...

I'm well aware of that....

I was making a point. That "right?" I said at the end of the sentance was more of a sarcastic remark.
