How to spend resort ERT?

On Thursday and Friday, I will be staying at BE, and I was just wondering what the best way to spend the hour of ERT is?

I think these are my options (correct me if I'm wrong):
-Get a ride or two on MF
-Get a few rides on Skyhawk
-Ride Maverick once, at most
-Try to get a rollback on TTD (what are the chances?)

I've been on everything except Maverick, so I'm just looking to use my time as wisely as possible.

I would say Maverick, possibly twice if you get there right at 9.... if you get a quick ride on Maverick, and go to MF you may be able to get 2 rides on MF. Early entry on MF has been much less since Maverick came to town.

I have also done Skyhawk for ERT, and gotten 6 or 7 rides on it. For a few cycles I was the ONLY person on it.

TTD will have a fair share of people riding it, but the chances of you getting a rollback with as warm as it is are slim.

You know TTD isn't open for ERT, right? You can still get a good spot in line, perhaps after riding Maverick once. MF's line was really never past the ramp up to the station during ERT when I was there last week. If you get to Maverick quickly, you could probably ride that once or twice, depending, then either go to MF or TTD and wait for 10:00 (they opened TTD like 15 minutes early one day and ran half-filled trains for about half an hour).

Ah yes, I forgot that once Maverick opened TTD stopped it's ERT.

This is my first year with a season pass (Joe Cool) and I was very surprised by how many people get in early with JC or resort pass. Last Tuesday we parked in the soak city lot, got there right at 9 and the line to get into the park was 15 minutes long! That sucked. We parked in the main lot after that. It seemed like the wait for Maverick was always like an hour long even for early entry. But I guess if you camp out early enough to get in the park you may have a shorter wait for Mav. You could easily get 3 rides in on MF. That would be my strategy. You can always wait an hour for Maverick any time during the day.

Also Sister Park passholders get in at the same time. It is not advertised.

I know this is how it has worked with MiAdv passes in the past.

Since you're going to wait for Maverick no matter what, I'd use the time on Skyhawk and MF. Maybe it's just me but to get multiple rides on each in the same time you could get one of Maverick is pretty good. Last time I was there for ERT I got 2 on Skyhawk and 4 on MF before the crowds came. The line for Maverick moves quickly at any time of day so you won't wait more than an hour and a half or less, even if the queue is full. It's all dependent on what you want to ride most.

Maverick has a shorter line during ERT. If you go straight there at 9 (run if you want to lol) the line will probably be no further than the stairs up to the station. After that, the line will grow steadily.

Each time I've gone in at 9 Maverick was late opening- once not till 10:15- kinda shot the whole deal for me, it's so far away from the other early rides. ('cept Skyhawk)

Once on a multiple day visit I took a morning and did Raptor and maXair early. It turned out great, we got lots of rides on both between 9 & 10, it seemed the resort/Joe Cool folks had better places to be. Those rides always get long lines after the g.p. let loose at 10, so it was a good way to get them in without waiting.

And ATJazz is right- Maybe it's Mavericks location, but even on a busy day the wait isn't all that bad. We hit it around 7 or 8 on a Saturday, the queue was almost full and the wait was about 50 minutes. Great capacity when all goes smoothly. (BTW, the sign posted 1.5 hr wait time- not so)

I'm the oldest one here. CP emp '73-'74

TTD was open for ERT for me. I was there for May 29th-30th and on the 29th, we ran back to Maverick only to find out it was down for mechanical reasons and they said TTD was open for ERT. So we ran up to TTD and only had about a 10 minute wait

^^maXair had ERT last year, but I don't think it does this year. Last time I spend a couple days there we went into the park only to find that none of the rides were open for ERT. We walked in and headed for MF, which was closed so we checked out Raptor, closed, so then we went back to Skyhawk which was closed and had no ride ops around it. Finally Maverick began to cycle empty trains so we got in line and rode in the front seat with about a half hour wait.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

We just got back from a week at Cedar Point and it seemed every day was different as to what rides were ERT. Check with the front desk at BE before you leave to see what rides are open. I would suggest Maverick at 9 then head to MF, you should be able to get it MF twice before the line gets long. Then head to TTD and get the Big three out of the way. That system worked pretty well for me when I was there, I did it on a Tuesday and Friday.

Yes, one day I was there Maverick was not open for ERT (as Tony was telling the crowd as we approached), but there was no replacement, just the usual rides. I then made my way to MF, which still had a short line despite the delay with going to Maverick first. I had heard at the gate that it was closed though, so perhaps they know at the front desks of the resorts. The next day it was open, so you never know.
