How to know when you go to CP a bit too much

You call the hotel you always stay at to make your reservations and the hotel clerk asks
"is this the Raptor lady??"
OMG!

Welcome back Raptor riders-how was your flight??
I wish I could "go too much". I have only been out there 3 times so far this year.

I'm a little burned out. I haven't been on a Cedar Point coaster in more than two weeks. After all the O-C's early in the season, I'm not in any hurry to go during the busy weeks.

I've only taken 3 trips out there this year. Which is more than I'd taken in a LONG time, actually. It's just far enough away (3 hours) and I have enough other parks to hit ;)

I've still gotten my money's worth out of the season and parking passes, though :) (5 visits to the park in those 3 trips...)

I know when I go too much when I receive my credit card statements, and transactions made in the Sandusky area outnumber the number of transaction made here in Pittsburgh!

The Top 10 ways you know you go to CP too much when....

#10 - Your 3 kids are named Magnum, Streak, and Wildcat.
#9 - You consider cheese fries an essential food group.
#8 - The parking attendants show you to "your space."
#7 - You own every single "new for 2000" CP souvineer, even if they are almost exactly the same as the 1999 ones.
#6 - Whenever a major coaster is closed, you keep telling yourself "It's just a bad dream! Its just a bad dream!"
#5 - Whenever you go with first-timers, by the end of the day, your new nickname is "The Taskmaster"
#4 - You have ONLY ridden MF 35 times and have not yet experienced it from EVERY seat.
#3 - You are on a first name basis with ALL ride ops & food vendors.
#2 - You have spent more money on Skee-Ball than on groceries in the past month.
And the #1 way to tell that you go to CP too much is....
You read this post!

Only 2,290½ miles from Cedar Po!nt.
Actually, #5, I was being called "Rainman" of CP.

As in the movie, not the weather.

When you ask your friends a question about the park and they respond: "I don't know the answer, but I bet you do!"

Unfortunately I can't say I have been the enough. It has been over a year since I have been to the point. On the bright side though, a few weeks ago I wasn't sure if I would go this year at all. I finally know now that I will go on August 14. I hope there are no problems because that will be my one and only date with the force this year. I haven't been away from coasters entirely though. I have been to PKI, Kennywood, and Hershy Park. I will be returning to PKI though so maybe I can get in a ride on SOB this time to compare to MF, and the other new coaster I have gotten to this year, Lightning Racer.
Last year was my year of going "too much" now I just pace myself. Why?

A. It help keeps the park fresh and exciting.

B. It gives me something to look forward too.

C. I don't have 50 million people there that know me on a first name basis.

D. I have found a lot of great parks out there with a lot of great rides.

Last year I never went longer than 4 days without being on a Cedar Point ride. Last year it seemed like I knew atleast one person personally on each ride and the rest of the crews recongnized me. Personally I liked being blending in with the crowds.

Really Dan? Dang, I was hoping to meet you. *sniff*

I'm suprised no one mentioned getting into large fights with people who just don't know anything about CP.

You don't fight those who know not of the Point. You simply must sit the uninfomed fool down and tell them of the park. Fighting with people who think Superman in Cali is a roller coaster now that's another story.

-------------
Remember, line jumping is NOT a sporting event!
I'm always up to meeting anyone just drop me a line when you plan on being in the park.

Normally, when someone doesn't know stuff about the park, I first try to tell them what the truth is, and if they don't believe me, I refer them to this site. This happens a lot when there are rumors that people have heard, such as the 107 mph rumor.
