Haha...Yes you did get quite a good deal on them. They both have the space spiral portrayed on them, so that limits them to I believe 1965. (feel free to correct me on this if it is incorrect)

They're not worth a ton of money, but I think just about any Cedar Point collectible is a good deal for pocket change.

The orange cup is late 70's - mid 80's. The coffee/tea cup is early-mid 70's, but no earlier than 1972.

Cadillac Cars opened in 1958, CP&LE opened in 1963 I belive, 1965 is correct about the Space Spiral, and also the Giant Wheel opened in 1972, so that limits it a little more.

I have brochures between 1974 and 1982 with a similar logo as the cup on them, so it could be as old as early 70's, but I would guess 80's.

The Giant Wheel was installed and was the featured attraction of 1972. I would say that these items date no earlier than that. The logo is the second logo used the "Amusement Land" logo which is what was used prior to the "Amazement Park" one.

If you got more than $10, I'd be surprised. Those old postcard views seem to be a dime a dozen on ebay. Since yours is the folder with several, you may have the upper hand.

There are no rides in the postcard pics. So that makes it really old , right?

I have a few postcards with the same views and they have postage markings of the year 1914. Plus, you have to remember that Cedar Point wasn't all about the rides back then. It featured beautiful beaches and a beautiful ballroom with a hotel. I recommend reading Cedar Point: the Queen of American Watering Places. It is such a great book highlighting the high and low times the park faced in the early 1900s and how the park started.
