Not that they would even allow it, but let's say you and a friend wanted to rent out CP for a day. How much do you think it would cost? With all the rides open.

Well I believe LeQuitter rented it out years ago with everything open if I remember correctly. I believe he held some charity thing but I might be wrong on that...

I think Honda has had the park open exclusively for their employees.....or something to that degree. In any case, I imagine it would be VERY expensive.

The 23¢ is what you question?
62k would be a good deal if you had 20,000 friends to split it with. :-)

Yeah...well 62k isn't too bad if that's the actual price considering

All rides up, staffed and ready to go, all divisions present and working. All fees associated with the park (electricity, maint. ect.) So it's not entirely too bad

Basically you need to know what one day's worth of operating costs is. But then, it is more complicated. Because, if you rented it a day during the actual calendar year you are going to have some resort guests who are pretty ticked off that they can't get into the park. So, perhaps you'd have to pay for lost resort/out of park revenue as well.

I was never on that end of things but I'm thinking Honda doesn't "rent" the park so much as it guarantees a certain number of ticket sales at a negotiated discout cost.

I went to Disneyland several times as a kid when my father's company had "exclusive" access in the park. It was typically 8pm-2am and I know we paid for tickets. I'm sure it was something similar where his company guaranteed X number of tickets.

$62,000? Isn't that the amount we raised last year for Coasting For Kids? :)

I can't believe there was any discussion about a number I made up.

Are you telling me you made up a "fluff" number? Seems counter to your current discussion on CBuzz:)
