I'm planning a trip(one of several)with my friends and they asked how much they should bring and honestly I don't know. Since you all seem so intuned with CP I thought you may have some suggestions. Thanks a mill.

Depends on what you want to do. For just food and snacks, I would suggest about 25 bucks per person. If you want to do more, buy merchandise, play games, and go to challenge park, than bring about $75 per.

CP Admission: $30-40
Food:
2 Beverages @ 2.00=
$4.00
Hot Dog/Fries:
$4.00
Games Money:
$5.00-10.00
Souvenier (sp) Money:
$10.00-20.00
You do the math! I'd think $50-75 would be plenty for everything...

Considering my friends and I drive up from Pgh, we divide the tolls and gas money. That said here would be my breakdown for a one day trip:
Breakfast at Mc Donald's: $6
TP,Parking Tolls and gas: $12 per person
Lunch at Silver Dollar: $10
Pepsi, Water and Slush: $8
Dinner at Fridays: $18
Challenge Golf: $6
------------------------------------------
And the grand total, surprisingly what I estimated in the first place is $60. Always have a little extra or an ATM card on you just in case, though. Oh yeah--souvenirs cost money, too, but that's only the first few times you...although I did have my eye on that huge stuffed alligator in the pagoda gift shop last year...heheh

Well since I already have tickets taken care of (season pass), I usually spend about 5 or less dollars at the park.
But I'm cheap.

If you take about 25 - 30 dollars which i do you have enough to eat breakfast (at a place like denny's) you have enough for some food at the park and for a photo of you on a ride and food on the way home, you may even want to take $35.

I always stock a cooler and i have my season pass, and since we go all the time, I dont buy suveniors all the time, so I would say on the average I probably send about 25 dollars per visit! Definilty pack a cooler though, eat your lunch at the car and save your money for things like fudge and fries, and elephant ears!

CABE that priceless thing is from Mastercard.
And we usually bring with us about 40 or 50 dollars and come home with about 10. It all depends on what your going to do.

By avoiding playing games, buying gifts, or getting food in the park can save a lot. I just go eat one big meal off-point instead of eating from concession stands. Just avoid TGI Fridays becasue the service stinks. Then again who has the will power to avoid the games and food and stuff? I would be safe and bring 100 bucks atleast. But you can get buy with 20 dollars spending money easily.

If CP has an "all you can pile on one plate or all you can eat buffet" than I will be eating there. SFGAm does this and if you dont want to leave the park than this is the best way to go. The more money you save the better.

Cedar Point had that once. It was called the Swiss Chalet. You went through a buffet and were charged for one plate. The Swiss Chalet became Macaroni's in 1992 (I think).

Depends on how cheap you are. If you've already got your tickets and you're cheap like me, I've gotten away with staying a full day and spending 10-15 bucks. They key is quenching your thirst with courtesy ice water rather than overpriced (nasty) Pepsi Products. I'd bring about 30-40 but you wouldn't spend that much unless you're a souvernior type person...
