How much are those glasses for Disaster Transport?

That's kind of off odd that they charge you? Couldn't they just give them to you and return them after the ride?

Are they like a $1.00 or something?

Something like that, but i agree that they should just have us return them after the ride. Disney does it with a lot of their 3-D rides. You get a pair in line, then when your leaving they have you put them in a big bin.
What if you lost them on the ride? One could say that if you lose them on the ride then you would have to pay for them afterwards, but if someone decides not to use them, then they'd be getting off without them anyway. And if someone lost them on the ride, they could say that they didn't take them.

Plus the last time I was there the guy behind me let me borrow his while we were going up and they really didn't do much, and since the ride is in the dark anyway, I wouldn't buy them.

I miss old disaster transport with all the planets and cool stuff. I mean it was never the greatest roller coaster but it was always cool. Now its kind of blah. Standing in line with the 3d glasses and black lights is more fun. Oh well what can ya do!! Fun fun fun!!

Most of the time there is a person that sells them just inside the entrance. As soon as you go through the curtain they are on your right.

If I dont get out of here and find me a sweet bus station skank, I might do something disgusting that I might really regret!

They are right in the start of the line, in the first dark "chamber" of the line.
They cost $1 but are worth nothing. They gave me a massive headache. The "3D" images are pathetic. What a waste!

I have to agree the $1 price tag is a little steep for what they have to offer, so do I what I did, and just find them somewhere. I would almost always find several pairs on the tables and trashcans around DT. You'll definitely want the glasses for the room that has the hand prints on the wall, that is a very cool effect.

Brent, you took them out of the garabage?

My track record

Just remember... if they used reusable glasses that you return at the end of the ride, they would not make any money off them. Let's not forget that Cedar Point is a business. I did buy a pair myself, and yes, the graffitti paint job is rather lame. I would not have bought a pair if I wasn't a collector of Cedar Point memorabilia. The glasses are now on display with the rest of my CP collection.

Lets hope CP gets some 3D mazes for halloweekends, like Halloween Haunt. Walking through a 3D vortex funnel can be so fun.
$1 is not that much, is it? I bought a pair when I went there last year and I was quite amused during an otherwise long, boring wait. I was with a group of 7-8 people in line, and out of the group, those who bought the glasses were having more fun.

Of course it's not going to be totally amazing 3D, it's just for a line. And the plastic Disney 3D glasses, uh...do they clean them or something? I know that after their rides you just drop the glasses in a bin, but what happens after that? I hope they were cleaned, it'd be grosse otherwise.

Oh, and the part of the line that I thought was the best was the floor in one of the hallways. Every other tile had the 3D effect so it seemed like there were holes in the ground.....It was pretty cool. :)

Metallica, Magnum and Mountain Dew, and finally turning 21...what could be better?

My belief is that those plastic glasses disney uses are sterilized with ultraviolet light. The cabinets don't cost much, schools can afford them.

Hahh umm...no.. I mean people would lay them on top of the trash can lids.

Why spend $1?

After people are done riding DT they just get rid of them. I actually feel kind of stupid for buying a pair because later I found a pair on the ground and two pairs that were left inside of Gemini.

Don't waste $1...just look around and you'll probably find a pair or two.
