How much are On-Ride photos?

Quick question, quick answer. Thanks to anyone who could help.

If I remember correctly we paid $9 for our Woodstock Express on-ride.

I remember getting my keychain on Magnum (on Sunday, I don't know if it depends on the day). Before 3pm you get $2 off. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)

Yes, you do get $2 off before 3, but I saw that on a Sunday too, so I don't know if it's everyday.

Just because you can't justify charging $3 for a Pepsi doesn't mean you can't charge $3 for a Pepsi.

Way to much. The fact that they charge 9 bucks for a keychain in outrageous.

No matter what day you go as long as it is before three it is $2 off.

It would be nice if that was implemented on ALL of the rides offering photos....

Actually we don't have that Early Bird Special anymore. We stopped it on Monday. It wasn't working out too well. The photos are $9.00 for either the picture or keychain. If you get two of the same number and item it is $15.00.

Shivering Timbers ones are $7.50. Guess things are cheaper in Michigan... :)

Greg: I sure lucked out then!

MrScott: When did they start having an ORP for Timbers? I don't remember one back in '98...

I think Cedar Fair added them this year...or maybe last year.

$9.00 that is pretty ridiculous. I went to LeSourdsville Lake on Friday and they were charging $8.50 on Raging Thunder Log Flume, I think that is ridiculous. How much does a photo cost them to make about 2 dollars tops. I think they should lower the prices for everyones own good, I bet they would make twice as much profit.

Actually to supply the paper and ribbon (the ink basically) it is pretty expensive. Earlier this season we were having trouble with our strobes. They spent $15,000 to get them fixed and they still weren't back to normal. Ride Photo equipment isn't cheap! Still, I have to agree, $9.00 is too much!

As I found out yesterday by my supervisor, the Early Bird Special is back for now. So before 3:00 the photos are $7.00 for one and $12.00 for two of the same item.

You know what I have often wished? That instead of buying hard copy photos at the time of your ride you could buy them and have them emailed to an email address you specify instead of the hard copy print out. I think it would save CP a lot of money in the long run and pictures could eventually actually be cheaper - however, I think I'd be willing to pay even a little more at this point for the convenience. I love these photos, but I hate having to worry about carrying them around all day or stuffing them in a locker and then have to remember to retrieve them.

I think there are some parks that are starting to do this with those darn Key-hole photos that you get mobbed to have taken when you walk in the park (at least that is what I have been told, but I'm not sure which parks do this). It would be nice to add on-ride photos to this option.

What do you all think?

Yea, I think PKI does that and you do get mobbed, everytime I go I have a game to see how far I can get without having my photo taken, one time I was walking onto Face/Off and the guy gets up from a chair and says could you come over here and stand right there thanks. 1..2..3... blah blah blah, made me mad.

Get this, I was walking into the park yesterday, and one of the guys tells me and my friends to stop for security reasons...then he snaps a picture. I'm like, "Yeah...security..." Then he hands me a piece of paper that a toss in the trash. That's happened to me 3 times this year. Twice in front of WT and once at the gates.

I've gone when I haven't worn a coaster shirt, and they don't take my picture. Maybe since I have a CP shirt they think I'll blow the 7 bucks or whatever on a picture? I think not!
