In the menu at left, click "Rides," then "Millennium Force Anatomy" for my take. From what I've learned so far, I was pretty close.

Thanks Jeff, but will it like hook two for sides of the car and lift up or will it be like a regular elevator, it sounds weird!!!
Sorry, will it hook TO FOUR sides of the car or what???
So, the car will go on a part of the track that will lift and connect to another part of the track???
you really should read a bit before you start asking these questions...just looking at pics of the ride on this site and on www.cedarpoint.com will answer most of your questions... also, you can edit your messages by clicking "edit" under your name on the message you posted.

CP says that this is the first elevator lift system used on a roller coaster. Perhaps I don't really understand how it works, but to me, it seems an awful lot like the way Boomerang coaster climb their first hill backwards. You know, the little car thing comes down and grabs the back of the train, pulls it up, and releases it at the top? Actually, I shouldn't even say that all Boomerangs work this way because I've only been on The Bat at Paramount's Wonderland. What's the dif?
i think i am right that the lift fo the mf will be just like an ski lift.

So you're saying the lift will be like Skyride? I don't think so.

I think it will be like a ski lift because a ski lift speed ranges from 8mph-17mph. The MF speed i herd was 11mph. The cable is about 50mm thick on both the mf and Ski lifts. The pullys on the MF and on ski lifts are the same size(jugging by the pics jeff has supplied us with). Also the gripping that is on a chair lift lets loss when it turns sharply. I am thinking the gripping on the MF trains will be like that but lets go. Thats what I think, you my think something else, but we will just have to wait another 79 days to see who is right.
