how fast?

How fast exactly does Maverick go through its pullthrough?..I know its slow speeds but how slow?..and does anyone know when they are going to start actually start testing..thanks

Did you see the PointCast where it inched along the track? It goes at about that pace. As for the testing, wait until Spring comes.

It moves at maybe 1 foot per hour. LOL!! Sometimes more, sometimes less. Testing will start when its ready to be tested. :)

I have never wondered the exact speed of a pull-through before. Has anyone on here? I'm just wondering, because it just doesn't seem like something I would care about.

All I know is that the answer is S-L-O-W.

Well at most times it's 0....THEN, in about 3 blinks of an eye, it goes from 0 to .1 mph for about 2 seconds!!! You have to be careful or you'll miss it.:)

Should one mention that they really only pull the train through a little ways then stop? They then readjust the cranes and what not and pull it a little further. It's not really a matter of MPH rather than DAYS. The test isn't just for clearance, its also to be sure the track seams are perfect.

So then it's measured with DPH?;)

O, well i knew it was slow lol so like how do they pull it through the launching sequence do u think?

With ropes. Maybe chains. But from the pictures its almost certainly with ropes.
