130 miles, 2 1/2 hours West Bloomfield, MI
Too far.

"I'm just a teenage dirt bag"
I hear that! I live about 2.5 hours away from CP. Not sure about miles, I've never had to make that drive myself.

Approx. 650 miles. I live in Greenville, South Carolina. :) I have three buds that live in northern Ohio -- one in North Ridgeville and two in Strongsville. (HI, HITCHCOCK! HI, CHRIS! HI, STEVE!) It is well worth the repeated flights and drives. No more trips until May 2001, though! :( ...guess that gives me time to replenish my savings, though, LOL!

I live about 7 1/2 hours (426 miles)in Scranton, PA(NE PA). It's a hike, but well worth it. Plus it gives you an excuse to give the park 2 days.
Well, during the past two summers, uhh not very far at all.

But...when I'm at school...792 miles. Pretty far.

Hooper you lucky dog...heck, anyone who livesd closer than me is lucky. That stretch of I-80 between Illinois and I-65 in Indiana is murder...
more construction than you can shake a stick at...

I lived near Detroit in a little city called Harper Woods. Its about a 2 hr drive.

Gravity knows no force like Millennium Force!
servo, you have to hit that stretch between 12am and 5 am
and as far as construction, how many years it been since ohio 2 has not had any near sandusky, and that whole oregon ohio area too, that had to be the longest time its ever taken to get an overpass built ever, now if they can only finish the widening of 2 there before next seasons over

am i tall enough to ride?

WHOEVER, that's why we've started leaving at 3AM!! but still, the Frank Borman Expwy is NOT one of my fave parts of the trip. and the stretch in Ohio you speak of is a close second in that respect. the trip should only take 5 gours, but becuase of all the constuction, it took closer to 7 this year!! but still, for me, 276 miles is STILL too far. i know, i could live farther, but...

the whole time zone thing dont help either, that was the only nice thing about picking up a friend in alma michigan alot this past summer,id wake up on daylight time,so,going by local times when i leave from home, its really just over 4 hours to the point and just over 2 home

true, true...kind of nice how we gain an hour on the way back, so you can leave CP an hour later than normal and STILL end up back home when you planned to...although it does stink for the ride out there...leave here(IL) at 3AM, arrive at CP 10:30AM...HEY!! WHAT HAPPENED TO 9:30???
left it back in Illinois!! :)

35 miles

We live in Columbus so we have over a 2 hour drive.
Living just outside of Windsor Ontario, CP is about 60 miles away as the crow flies. Unfortunately we have to use the Interstate. It takes about 2.5 hours if there is no backup at the Ambassador Bridge. There is a ferry that crosses Lake Erie from Leamington to Sandusky which takes about 2.5 hours also. I have never taken the ferry. If anyone has ever gone this route, I would appreciate some comments as to how the trip was. I think it would be a pretty neat trip for the family. Last summer someone was going to run a hovercraft from Leamington to Cedar Point but it never materialized. Does anyone know what happened to that? A hovercraft would certainly cut the time to get to the park.
how far is Los Angeles? about 2000 miles? It's a once a year trip. And well worth it.

hmmmm only fishy has me beat. Let's do some research on mapquest.com here...*typing* Salina, KS to Sandusky, OH *click* computing....
DING!
932.4 miles, estimated time of 16hrs 45 minutes.

Nifty huh?
